Swimming career
He represented England and won a bronze medal in the 880 yards Freestyle Relay at the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland, New Zealand.[1][2] Trophy winning water polo player with team into the 1990's
Personal life
During the Games in 1950 he lived at Downton Road, Knowle, Bristol and was a clerk by trade. Joined the Avon and Somerset Constabluary, an active member of Bristol Corinthians Swimming Club as Swimmer/water polo player.
Married Mrs LMC Turner mid/late 1990's Becoming Mr and Mrs Turner-Legg. whilst working part time for the Port of Bristol in Bristol Harbourside as windsurfing instructers for both Bristol Unversities. Ray continued competing in Corinthians water polo team and Joined the Policemans choir who successfully recorded and performed for years in venues from Bristols West End to Londons Royal Albert Hall.
