Restore Draft Submitted for Review
Hi Jim, thanks for your work here. You recently deleted a post of mine under the username ChasingScratch, citing promotion. I have changed my name by clarifying that I am not affiliated with the podcast in question, and was simply creating a reference page, not a promotional site. Could you please restore the page and I will work to continue improving it? If not, could you move it to my Sandbox so I can work on it there? Thank you! DrewF44 (talk) 18:09, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- DrewF44, I've seen this message, but it may be Friday before I get a chance to respond, very busy in RL tomorrow Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:07, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- DrewF44, I've restored and tidied it up a bit. It's not enough to just list characters and episodes, though. To meet our notability guidelines you will needs things like audience numbers, awards and similar, otherwise is just one of thoud=sands of non-notable podcasts. Sources that are not acceptable as references include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. GloomyMimi (talk) 22:29, 4 February 2021 (UTC) Hello. My page Draft:Gloom was deleted for no reason. It was a Wikipedia page about a YouTuber called Gloom. I spent a lot of time on it and then you just delete it. I am 13 years old and just joined and I dont know how to make a page about a Person. Can I please have my page back and advice on making a page please? I am very upset.
Thank you ps: I am sorry if I come off as passive aggressive, I'm just upset, thank you in advance

Why did you remove PS1 Streak: Hoverboard Racing?
To the Wikipedia User Jimfbleak. Can I ask you to restore Streak Hoverboard Racing 1998?
It's an official PS1 Game that GT Interactive released, I even own a copy of the game. Please allow me to build up Streak: Hoverboard Racing 1998 or at least restore the wikipedia page since it's a real Playstation 1 game. Here's the website link for proof. <ref>https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/198815-streak-hoverboard-racing</ref> CrosswalkX (talk) 05:52, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

Deletion of Institute of Child Nutrition Page
Hello admin, my name is Stewart Hammons, and I am an employer for the Institute of Child Nutrition. My job is to create a Wikipedia page for the Institute and am just now learning that there are rules and regulations to do that. I am new to Wikipedia page building and did not know I was breaking any Wiki regulations. I would like to have the Institute of Child Nutrition page restored so that I can continue my work and ensure it is not breaking any Wiki guidelines. I will change my name to ensure my affiliation with the Institute is known and am happy to make any other changes to ensure the page is not deleted again. The page is merely for reference since the Institute is a nationally funded program. The Wiki page is not for self promotion by any means. Thank you and please let me know what else I need to change in order to ensure the page is not breaking any Wiki rules. What can I do to have my page restored?
Thank you. --Wshammon Wshammon (talk) 17:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- Wshammon, don't change your user name, that will get you blocked. You must post the COI declaration on your user page exactly as I indicated in my message. I'll look tomorrow if there is any possibility of restoring the article,I'm finishing for today now Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:34, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Deletion of Draft:St. Nic
Hi Jim, I am currently in the editing process of creating a page for the artist St. Nic. I was in the middle of working on the page when I published the page to be saved. I followed the instructions to post a COI and I am not done with editing and updating the page. I simply wanted to save my work. I have not submitted this page yet. This page is full of information about the artist and a biography of their life and works up until now. It isn't finished and I'd appreciate it if you'd refrain from deleting it again until it is submitted for review. His cousin and collaborating artist has a page of his own right here: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/La%C3%AFoung . What hoops must I jump through to establish this artist's page? Deletion of Institute of Child Nutrition
- Jimfbleak - talk to me? I will not change my name. Thank you for clarifying that. I added the COI declaration to my user page. Like I said before, this is my first time making a Wikipedia page and am learning the ropes as I go. I read the content you added and I do wish to proceed. I will delete the large chunks of irrelevant information. How do I reply to your copyright query?
Thank you. --Wshammon Wshammon (talk) 18:35, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Deletion of Draft:Gerard Tellis Site
Hi Jim,
I sent a message regarding the deletion of this site last week and did not hear back. This site was deleted due to copyright infringement of the Unversity of Southern California's Marshall School of Business site, the school that Gerard Tellis is a professor at. We received an email from USC Marshall IT Services that "approves and allows Gerard Tellis to use the bio and profile information from the USC Marshall Website verbatim and or edited on Wikipedia." Is there a way I can send you a copy of this message and is this sufficient to bring back the site?

- Darrynazevedo No, the university must either mark the copied page as Public Domain or with a CC BY-SA 3.0 Licence, or they must get an OTRS ticket as described here. The page must be clearly free for anyone to copy, distribute or modify, not just you Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:16, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
Hi Jim,
Thank you for your response. It is actually Gerard Tellis who owns the copyrights for the image and wording on the USC Marshall site and he is allowing this info to be used on that site. If we provide proof of these copyrights, is this sufficient to bring back the site?
Best, Darrynazevedo (talk) 21:47, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Darryn
- Darrynazevedo, the copied page is marked University of Southern California Marshall School of Business | Copyright 2001 - 2021. If he is disputing that, it's a matter for him to sort out with USC, we can only work on the stated copyright claim.
- Even if you can establish that he owns the copyright and the university verifiably withdraws its claim, same applies. The text must be free for anyone here to use for any purpose including commercial, so he either needs to state on the university website that the text is Public Domain or is released with a CC BY-SA 3.0 Licence, or get an OTRS ticket. We must be able to verify that the copyright owner , whether him or USC, is prepared to relinquish most of his rights to it.
- He is clearly notable, but there are other problems with the text. It's mostly unreferenced, the two refs you did give are bare urls, and the first is associated with him, so not an independent third-party source. Note that his own website is also not an independent source. Even if the copyright were released, I would only be prepared to restore as a draft, it's not ready for article space.
- It's more work, but you might find it easier to find some proper independent verifiable sources and write from scratch, rather than jumping through the (disputed) copyright hoops
- Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:36, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Also note that the image has been deleted at Commons since UCS claims copyright to that to, on the same page Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:39, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Restoring Indigo Paints
Hi Jim - I was planning to write an article titled Indigo Paints for Wikipedia submission. An initial search on Wikipedia suggested that you had deleted the article in Dec 2019 citing G11 and G12. I have adequate experience in creating a neutral article that is evidence-based, and adheres to Wikipedia guidelines. I am writing to seek your support in reinstating this article. I am happy to create a draft that you could review; alternatively, I could first publish the article, and then ping you to double check the content. Looking forward to your thoughts. details on what is considered advertising and what is not
Hi Jim. I was making a Wikipedia article on a pretty small YouTuber, science done right. However, it has been deleted for the reason supposedly saying I was advertising. Can I get more insight on what is advertising and what is not? (because I didn't mean it to be advertising.) Science Done Right (talk) 11:32, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
Restoring William Bishop wikipedia article
Dear Jim,
Thank you for your editing of my page submission. I was wondering how to make sure that listing the criteria which make William Bishop notable does not appear to be promotion or advertising (G11), so that the page may be restored.
Kind Regards,
