Lornshill Academy is a six-year comprehensive school situated in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. Approximately 1,000 pupils[1] are enrolled with the school. Lornshill currently employs approximately 80 teachers and around 30 support staff.[2][3] Lornshill is currently associated with seven primaries – Craigbank, Clackmannan, Banchory, Fishcross, Deerpark, Abercromby and Saint Serfs.[1]
In 1996, the schools 25th anniversary year, the senior football team were winners of the U18 Scottish Cup, defeating Lasswade High School 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw, at Hampden Park, Glasgow.
Pupils
Pupils are placed in one of three houses: Devon, Forebraes and Grange. There was previously a fourth house named Ochil. Pupils are normally of the ages 11 – 18 and are split into a standard S1-S6. These years are then again split into two subgroups: Junior (S1-S3), and Senior (S4-S6). [citation needed]
