I've included the following:

Harald Eia, Otto Jespersen and Bård Tufte Johansen

They are all very important figures in popular culture, to the extent they certainly all need to be mentioned here (and yes, I believe they are all in the latest dead tree Konversajonsleksikon). Wikipedia certainly need to stay one step ahead of the established in terms of coverage of popular culture, and I believe that many more should be on the list. What about Kristopher Schau, for instance? Not including him would be an important oversight. And where is Lalla Karlsen? The understanding of society would be totally handicapped by not including them. -- Egil

I have restored the popular culture names that were removed. The comment beside them is meaningless, they are all notable persons and definitely fullfill all criteria for having bios in Wikipedia. If anyone wants to remove any of them, please discuss in the talk page why they mean the person is non-notable. -- Egil 12:08, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Academics, scientists, etc

As for the young computer scientist I deleted recently---who had recently become a PhD, and published a couple of papers---please check out the WKP discussion on this issue. By all means, I'm sure the guy is very bright and likable, but it just isn't enough for being listed in the company of international stars like, say, Nygaard and Dahl... --Wernher 2 July 2005 19:41 (UTC)

My impression is that this is actually a "list of contemporary norwegians often featured in VG and Dagbladet". SWA 17:58, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Henrik Andrè Ogann

He is a very notable football player from Tønsberg [[1]]

Prince of Birjand and other norwegian princes in foreign countries should be added

The Shah of Birjand is a german-norwegian-persian prince related with the emperor of Iran and the premier Alam. Furthermore he is a decentant of the prophet Mohammed! I think such prominence and other should be added too.
