Hamri Al-Assad is a fictional character from the sixth season of the television series 24. He is played by British/Sudanese actor Alexander Siddig. Template:Spoiler

Hamri Al-Assad was the leader of a Middle-Eastern terrorist group believed to be responsible to hundreds of American deaths. In time, however, Assad grew dissilusioned with violent methods and sought legitimize his group and pursue his ends through politics.

Some of his comrades opposed Assad's change in method, including Abu Fayed, who launched a series of devastating attacks on American cities and set up Assad as the one responsible. After Jack Bauer learned the truth, he managed to rescue Assad before his safehouse was destroyed in a military strike.

Assad agreed to help prevent Fayed's latest attack, by stopping a suicide bomber attempting to blow up a subway train. He then trailed the bomber's handler in the hopes that he would lead them back to Fayed. Template:24others
