Christine Chiu

Christine Chiu is a Taiwanese businesswoman and philanthropist who currently stars in and produces Netflix’s reality TV series “Bling Empire”.[1] Her husband, Gabriel Chiu is a plastic surgeon and was the first employee at Christine's plastic surgery practice. The plastic surgery clinic, called Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, is situated in Los Angeles. The clinic has more than 35,000 patients and is the go-to for the affluent LA community.[2] Gabriel Chiu is also a direct descendant of the Song Dynasty. [3]
Christine was born in Taiwan but grew up in the United States. Her parents were successful in business and amassed wealth in Taiwan before moving the family to California to pursue new opportunities when Christine was 5 years old.[2] She later attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where she graduated with honors in International Business.[4]
At one time Christine served on the boards of 4 non-profit organizations and 27 committees. The family commits 50% of every net dollar back into their community. [3]Some of the charities they work most closely with are Art of Elysium, The Prince’s Foundation, The Ghetto Film School, Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Cystic Fibrous Foundation, and AmFAR.[5] Christine and her husband are the main backers of the Prince's Foundation Health & Wellbeing Centre at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The center uses complementary therapies to help locals with obesity, loneliness, and depression. [2]
After undergoing several rounds of unsuccessful IVF treatments, Christine and her husband Gabriel conceived their first child, Gabriel Chiu III, in 2018. For his first birthday, the Chius donated $1 million dollars to the Cayton Children’s Museum in Santa Monica.[2]
Christine is an avid haute couture collector and has pieces that were loaned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for their Heavenly Bodies exhibition.[6]
