Samanea Yangon is a planned mixed-use development located in Dragon Seikkan Township, Yangon, at the intersection of Bago River Road and Yadanar Road. It is currently managed and owned by Samanea Group, a developer based in Singapore. Samanea Yangon consists of a wholesale market, staff apartments, boutique apartments and tenant warehouses, covering a total area of 300,000 square metres. The wholesale market, also known as Samanea Yangon Market, covers an area of 100,000 square metres. It has 730 retail outlets including restaurants.[1]

The wholesale market was develop by Samanea Group and Myanmar-based EI Company Limited with the permission of Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) and Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC)[2] to build Samanea Yangon Market. Construction began in 2019 and Phase I (Samanea Yangon Market) was completed in and officially opened to the public in November 2020.[3]
