Meg Meeker

Margaret J. Meeker (born 1957)[1] is an American pediatrician who has written books on parenting from a Christian perspective. She is a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University. Meeker is a guest commentator on media programs.

Career

Meeker is a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University.[2][3] Her commentary on the rise of teenage sexually transmitted diseases has caught attention in education[4] and popular publications.[5] [6] Meeker is invited onto broadcast programs on the topics she has written about, such as The Today Show,[7] and the Ingaraham Angle[8] and she has a following in Christian fundamentalist groups on social and mainstream media[9] [10] [11] and former President Donald Trump.[12] Meeker has also written on gender roles in parenting and in adolescent psychology. She promotes teenage chastity for its psychological benefits not for strictly religious reasons, her views are quoted in analysis of the impact of pornography[13] and the attitudes of the church to sexuality.[14] She has appeared on various media programs such as 60 Minutes, The Today Show,[7] Fox News's The Ingraham Angle,[8] Donald Trump shared another one of her appearances on Fox & Friends,[12] The Federalist, The Telegraph,and NPR.
