Minibosses EP was recently changed from 1st album to 2nd album. The first one should be mentioned here as well if this is true. -- LGagnon

I would argue rather strongly that the sound of the Minibosses is far more metal than it is rock. - Augur

That is your opinion; you'd have to prove it to count it a fact. Might I add, metal is a form of rock. -- LGagnon 03:55, Jan 31, 2005 (UTC)
I never said it wasn't my opinion. I was simply saying that as the genres are currently perceived, prog metal and prog rock are not necessarilly identical. I think it would be prudent to add a link to progmetal so I'm going to do so. - Augur
i disagree on the metal concept. i consider them punk; granted, they're on the end of punk that's closest to thrash metal. they have a heavy punk sound, and if there's any sort of metal and/or prog elements, it stems from the music they cover, which for the most part translates very well to guitar-based music. - dethtoll
The reason I say its progmetal tho is that the bands music has all the technical features of metal. While you were right when you said that technical stuff isn't the only thing that makesm etal metal, but that instrumental sounds are important as well, it doesn't much matter. Minibosses may have punk guitar sounds, but if instruments determined genre, half of metal wouldnt even be metal. [please note: this post references AIM conversations and is more for the sake of the general debate, not as a response to dethtoll] - Augur

The offical website is no longer down, I removed the note saying that

would like to add that minibosses also cover music from pro wrestling now. -shawn phase
