According to Juan M. Marin, there is much controversy among physicists regarding mysticism and scientific belief and/or discoveries. One of the supporting claims Marin brought to light regarding such controversy among physicists was the fact that "quantum theory requires a conscious observer," and that Niels Bohr refused to accept that because he felt it made no difference on who, or what, was observing a phenomenon.
