Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said (Template:Lang-ar; born 21 August 1990) is the Crown Prince of the Sultanate of Oman[1] and the son of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. He is also the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. He was appointed as the Crown Prince of Oman by a royal decree on 12 January 2021.[2]
Biography
Sayyid Theyazin (pronounced Dhi-Yazan) bin Haitham bin Tariq attended Oxford University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Political Science.[3]
His father is HM Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq, the current Sultan of Oman. His mother is Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, the First Lady of Oman. He has one brother and two sisters. He is engaged to Sayyida Meyyan bint Shihab Al Said who is his first cousin on both sides.[4] His paternal uncle Sayyid Asad bin Tariq is the Deputy Prime Minister for relations and international cooperation affairs, and his other paternal uncle Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq (father of Sayyida Meyyan) is the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs.[5] The former Sultan, Qaboos bin Said is one of his paternal uncles.[6] His maternal aunt, Sayyida Rawdah bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, is the mother of Sayyida Meyyan.

Theyazin has been Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth since 18 August 2020. He previously worked at the private royal office of the Omani Embassy in London for five years from 2014.[7] He has also worked at the foreign ministry from 2013, according to Omani media.[8][9]
