I think he died August 29, 2019? AsdfghjkLaraMae (talk) 02:19, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
- Not done: No, Wilder died on August 29, 2016 as the article currently states. General Ization Talk 02:21, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
Forgive me if I’m doing this incorrectly but I just wanted someone to add the movie “Foul Play” to Mr. Wilder’s list of movies. His character died early in the movie, but he should still get credit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.226.29.98 (talk) 06:22, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- I don't have a copy of the film handy, but seeing as he doesn't appear in the IMDb listing for the movie, and they're usually pretty good at catching uncredited cameos, is it possible that the person you are seeing is not Wilder? I suspect you're actually referring to Bruce Solomon. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:01, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- I did a bit more research and it does not appear that Gene Wilder appeared in "Four Play". I found a complete cast list on TCM.com, Complete listing for cast. Jurisdicta (talk) 05:31, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
Gene Wilder as Writer
There's a complete section of Gene's works, his novels. So far, I've got the titles of some of them, but I'm not sure if they're all of them or not and I think they should be added when all of them are recorded instead of bit by bit. Here's the ones I wrote about:
2007 "My French Whore: A Love Story" 2008 "The Woman Who Wouldn't" 2010 "What Is This Thing Called Love?" 2010 "Kiss Me Like A Stranger: My Search for Love and Art" 2013 "Something to Remember You by: A Perilous Romance"
EDIT: On this video [1] at 4:29, Gene Wilder talks about the 2013 books as his fifth (so none would be missing), but he mentions he already has prepared a 6th and has to finish a 7th. I haven't found any of those, but I might have missed them.

In the quote from Gene’s nephew in the section about his death, there is a typo. It currently says “but more so than the countless young children...” As a visit to the citation article with original quote and common sense would suggest, it should read “but more so that the countless young children...” — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.229.223.196 (talk) 22:15, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Wilder is known for doing comedy in his films. "comedian" should be added in his occupations section and in the first sentance of the article. As shown: "American actor, comedian, director, screenwriter, producer, singer-songwriter and author." Plus here's a source to confirm all this:https://www.bendbulletin.com/lifestyle/comedy-favorites-from-local-comedians/article_575c4a26-d6a0-11ea-bd62-07918c6b81d1.html. 2600:1000:B04B:6399:8841:FD5D:6AA7:E37F (talk) 00:31, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Garr's comment about Wilder
She termed him a 'jerk' in this interview. I was surpised. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZGPcwoXLZI — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.51.247 (talk) 22:30, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
