Samanea Jakarta Market is a wholesale and retail market located in Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Jl. Suvarna Sutera Boulevard.[1] It is currently managed and owned by Samanea Group, a developer based in Singapore. It covers an area of 96,000 sqm and was built out of “containers”, becoming the first market in Indonesia made of containers.[2][3] It has 403 retail outlets including restaurants.

History

On 6 May 2019, Samanea Group and CFLD International[4] signed an agreement to purchase the 7.6 hectare[5] land at Tangerang New Industry City (TNIC).[6][7][8]

On 24 June 2020, Samanea Group and CFLD International closed a second deal on 9.9 hectare[9] of commercial and logistics land at Tangerang New Industry City.[10]

Samanea Jakarta Market is considered Phase I of the project and has began operation since August 2020.[11] Phase II (tenant warehouses, staff apartments, boutique apartments, etc.) is targeted to open in 2021.

Samanea Jakarta Market is usually open from 9:00 to 21:00.

Located in Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, Samanea Jakarta Market is 2 minutes’ drive from Tangerang-Merak Toll, 42 km from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, 30 km from Sudirman Central Business District and 18 km from Tangerang railway station.[12][13][14]

Trade Mix

Market stores sell both wholesale and retail manufactured goods, including materials for building, household commodities, furniture, hardware and electrical equipment, household appliances.[15]
