Hey,

Why was my new page deleted? This is my friggin favorite game! I even asked the game administrators to verify the information! So it did not contain any false information! If this is my welcome to Wikipedia land...

Okay, it was quite short, but I was going to add content!

Anyway, greetz, me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.11.185.56 (talkcontribs)

Hi. When you write an article, you should state why the topic is important. Your article begun with "it is a rather small game...", so you should put even more stress to show why it is notable to have its own article. I can restore it if you would like to rewrite it. Regards. --Tone 14:16, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'll try working on it later this evening, But please give me a few days (let's say 1 or 2) for me to finish it :p + I've lost the info so please put it back so I can change it.

Many thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.11.178.94 (talk) 20:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Ok, restored. And I suggest you sign in ;-) --Tone 21:23, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to hear a little more of your reasoning behind deleting this article. To me, it feels like you're intentionally making things more roundabout and difficult overall by organizing things by categories. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.175.97.219 (talk) 21:36, 5 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The problem is the criteria of inclusion of an anime on the list. Why is it notable? What is even the criteria? Can you provide references? I guess nobody would oppose that for example Pokemon or Dragon Ball are notable but it quiclky comes to a more slippery terrain. Why not to include this anime if that one is on the list? You see, the consequence would soon be to put all the anime on the list and this is what WP is not, an indiscriminative collection of data. I hope it helps. --Tone 22:08, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your deletions

I am here to inquire about your recent mass deletions of images. While all of them should have been deleted, they were deleted very fast, reaching a max of about 19 images per minute! I was wondering how you achieved such a fast deletion rate by hand. Thank you. —Mets501 (talk) 02:57, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quite easy. Frist, I open many windows in Firefox as tabs, then I check them and then I delete them in a row. Probably I got some practice already :) --Tone 07:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, good, as long as there's no bot involved :-) —Mets501 (talk) 11:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I wouldn't use a bot for deletion without a prior approval of the community. But it might be useful to have one for other edits, I will read some things about it when I find some time. --Tone 12:29, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Britt

I am a new wikipedian. I was somewhat slow in adding content to the Bill Britt article and I find it has been deleted. Here are some reasons why this person is notable.

Bill Britt and Dexter Yager are two of the top most distributors in Amway/Quixtar. Britt has above 1 million people in his downline. Proper information about him concerns at least all these people.

He is currently serving as a Presidents Cabinet Representative on the IBOA International Board. http://www.iboai.com/IBOAI-PresidentsCabinet-BillBritt.asp

Britt is mentioned in the Forbes Magazine, December 9, 1991 http://www.amquix.info/forbes_december_9_1991.html

Britt was mentioned in nationally televised news documentary on the Dateline NBC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amway#_note-20

The Triangle Business Journal reports a scam involving him. http://triangle.bizjournals.com/triangle/stories/2003/08/11/story1.html

The Burlington Times-News reported about Britt's involvement in fradulent investment schemes, and about his impending separation with his wife. http://www.amquix.info/forbes_december_9_1991.html

A lawsuit involving him is mentioned in an article in "Time Out". http://www.rickross.com/reference/amway/amway9.html

A lawsuit involving him is mentioned in an article in "The Legal Intelligencer". http://www.amquix.info/aus/hanrahan.htm#articles

My Request for Adminship

Thanks for contributing to my RfA! Thank you for your support in my my RfA, which passed with a tally of 117/0/1. I hope that my conduct as an admin lives up to the somewhat flattering confidence the community has shown in me. Please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page should you need anything or want to discuss something with me.--Nilfanion (talk) 23:00, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What am I?

I'm going to have to go with 23Na because to the best of my recollection it is the only Isotope23 that is stable...--Isotope23 00:41, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tone,

I see you've reverted back edits by 70.128.117.245 on the Jeet Kune Do article. If you look he's real close to violating the Three Revert Rule. Any chance of you blocking him as he's really creating a lot of commotion and unnecessary grief? Thanks FrankWilliams 15:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. Well, since noone told him anything yet, I left him a notice for now. But if he continues, tell me and I will block him. Regards. --Tone 15:48, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone he just changed your edit and I reverted back. Do what you have to do. Thanks FrankWilliams 15:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now I let him the notice about 3RR. The next violation results in a block. By the way, you can also remind the user next time yourself ;-) --Tone 15:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone user 70.128.117.245 still reverting the Jeet Kune Do articles after several more warnings. Please block this guy. BTW: He has also used the IP: 64.149.40.27 Thanks FrankWilliams 01:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HELLO TONE, WE ARE TRYING TO CONTACT MR. FRANK WILLIAMS REGARDING SOME LIBELOUS STATMENTS HE HAS POSTED. COULD YOU SEND IT TO INFO@LEEJKD.COM OR TO OUR ATTORNEYS AT THE PATTON LAW OFFICE JON@JONPATTON.COM. MR. PATRICK IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND PREFERS WE TAKE IT OFFLINE BUT WE NEED HIS OR HIS LAWYERS CONTACT INFORMATION. THANK YOU. --WORLDJKD 20:26, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

-- Esurnir 23:17, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone, It appears that user 70.128.117.245 who you blocked is at it again as User:Martiallaws with the exact same edits. Please take appropriate action. Thanks FrankWilliams 16:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have protected the article now so that new users and anons are not able to edit it. I'll keep an eye on the article and I suggest you that you contact directly the user who is making disruptive edits and let him know that this is not a nice thing to do ;-) In any case, it's polite to warn him before he gets blocked :-) (I'll let him a notice now but next time you do it, ok?) --Tone 16:49, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Could you explain this edit: [1]? It seems you blocked another IP for 24 hours a few minutes before, but the IP your comment is under has not been blocked... --Tango 17:13, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Funny, probably it's because another admin blocked him at the same time. He's blocked now anyway. --Tone 17:15, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He hadn't been blocked when I looked at the log. He wasn't blocked until 5 minutes after you left that message. Strange... You don't need to leave a comment when you've blocked a user, anyway, you can just remove them (or these days, leave it and a bot will remove them). --Tango 17:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feel like deleting a couple pages?

Hi. You blocked User:Thwrebvebthwr for vandalism. Most of his vandalism has been reverted; but he uploaded a clearly-unfree image, Image:Patrick Swayze.jpg, with no fair-use rational which he used in his vandalism. He also created a userpage for a user that did not have one User:Dstumme. Those probably ought to be deleted. Thanks. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:04, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. Fixed. --Tone 21:05, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again. :) ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 21:12, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. God, that was scary; I don't think I can sleep tonight. Could you also please protect them from recreation (Such as adding {{deletedpage}} to them)? --AAA! (AAAA)

Erik Voeks article

Hello Tone: I spent a couple hours creating an Erik Voeks article which you deleted. This was my first attempt at creating an article, and I think an external link I posted in an effort to provide verifiable documentation may have been construed as "blatant advertising." I removed that link and have left nothing but internal wiki links. Now the article is locked. What's the problem?

edit: I also see how I might not have followed protocol be recreating an article which was deleted. Is there a way to get this article reinstated if it meets standards?

Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dukewisdom (talkcontribs) 16:23, 13 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Hi. First of all, you should a capitalised letter for the surname also :-) Sometimes it is hard to write an article that reads neutral, I know. Follow the link and try again, if there's any problem, ask me. Regards. --Tone 17:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was trying to capitalize the surname when I found the article deleted/locked. What link am I to follow? Thanks for your help.

The one in the title. Sorry, I forgot to put it there... Now I deleted the protected page so you should be able to edit it. --Tone 17:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page, which you recently edited on, is constantly getting vandalized by a rival school. Could you please put an edit lock on the page? Rohan 17:35, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The vandalism is not so heavy as you put it. In the log I don't see more than one vandalism per day in average. So I think the protection is not necessary since we try to avoid protecting the articles in general. For now, let just keep an eye on the article and if the situation aggravates, let me know and I will protect it. Regards. --Tone 22:12, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I need help, Tone.

Tone, you left me a message about not deleting Afd's. It was an accident - I was trying to edit my article, Evan Sackett. But since you're an administrator, maybe you can help. I am being attacked by multiple users on wikipedia. Most are requesting deletion of my article. I am working to improve it, cite information, and remove all spam. Please, give me time to fix it. I have worked very hard on this page and it means a lot to me.

I will aslo note that I am the creator of article: Evan Sackett, but I am NOT Sackett himself. Sackett is a local author who I feel deserves a place on Wikipedia. I have the username:Evan Sackett becasue I was trying to create the article. My name is David Johnson. Thanks

Yeah, sometimes it is hard to convince the other users that a person deserves an article. You see, there are thousands of vanity pages created every day and it takes time to deal with them all. I suggest you enter the deletion discussion (follow the link in the AfD notice) and present your arguments there. It will be the best thing to do. --Tone 22:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and reported him to WP:AIV. I think it is more of a vandal than a POV editor. :: Colin Keigher (Talk) 19:26, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!

I edited my userpage at school, without logging in, and you reverted the edit. Please change it back Geohevy 01:24, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sorry. I couldn't have known that it was you, it could have been a vandal... Reverted now. Regards. --Tone 10:19, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JKD Again

Tone, I need you to either block the same guy we've had problems with before (he's got a new alias called Bruceleeman or protect the document somehow. Thanks FrankWilliams 13:58, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
