I am looking for information on Hunting in the UK, primarily for use on the Anti-hunting page. Does anyone have demographic information.--Counsel 18:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland

Hunting remains unaffected by the Hunting Act 2004 in NI - it's a devolved matter for the NI Assembly, but has never to date been discussed. However, does anyone know the legislative situation in the Republic ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 218.102.23.117 (talk) 23:11, 18 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

It is legal, although some aspects, e.g. the netting of hares for coursing and stag hunting require Government licences in various ways. The Republic is obviously not part of the the UK and so perhaps peripheral to this article. MikeHobday 12:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
