Ajabaj (Template:Lang-hy; Template:Lang-az, anglicized: Ajybaj) is a village in the Kajaran Municipality of the Syunik Province in Armenia.[2] The village was populated by Azerbaijanis before the exodus of Azerbaijanis from Armenia after the outbreak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In 1988-1989 Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan settled in the village.[citation needed]

Toponymy

The village was previously known as Ajaran and Ajaraj.

The Statistical Committee of Armenia reported its population was 30 at the 2001 census.[3]
