Morris Brenner (August 25, 1914 - August 25, 2005) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Pvt. Irving Fleischman in The Phil Silvers Show.
Brenner guest-starred in television programs, including The Dick Van Dyke Show, Naked City and East Side/West Side. He also appeared in several Broadway plays including, The Bees and the Flowers, The Madwoman of Chaillot, Lunatics and Lovers, Fiddler on the Roof and Minor Miracle. Brenner was supposed to play Pvt. Duane Doberman in The Phil Silvers Show, but was recasted to Pvt. Irving Fleischman, when Maurice Gosfield came in and auditioned.[2]
Brenner died in August 2005, at his 91th birthday at the Actors Fund Home in Hackensack, New Jersey.[3]
