YouTube Movies

The Channel YouTube Movies has 132 Million Subscribers, should be mentioned somewhere, doesn't have to be in a list, should be mentioned tho

Channels like that do not count, since they are not legitimate channels, they are just places made by YouTube that contain several videos of a single category. Philosophy2 (talk) 12:46, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-Music List

Might be helpful to make a seperate list on this page for non-music/brand accounts, such as pewdiepie,mr beast, nigahiga and so on. this might be helpful to show the people that came from youtube, rather than the brands/people who use youtube seperately. 2601:14D:8300:6B10:85CE:82EF:62F3:36F2 (talk) 17:50, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. WikiVirusC(talk) 13:51, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on the new ordering system?

Hello, I have just updated the list using the latest available data, as well as the way in which certain channels will be ordered. Previously, the text above the list read:

"[Channels] whose displayed subscriber counts are identical are listed in no particular order."

I have now updated it so that:

"[Channels] whose displayed subscriber counts are identical are listed so that the channel whose current growth rate indicates that its displayed subscriber count will exceed that of the other channel is listed first."

For example, BangtanTV and Ariana Grande are both listed at 47.8 million subscribers, and it is difficult to determine which channel actually has more subscribers, because YouTube only displays the first three digits of a channel's subscriber count now for some reason, so if two channels are close enough in subscribers, they will effectively appear to be the same. However, comparing future projections for the two channels on Social Blade shows that BangtanTV is expected to grow much larger than Ariana Grande. Therefore, in the list as I have ordered it, BangtanTV appears before Ariana Grande, even though right now their subscriber counts appear to be the same.

I thought this was a better method because usually in cases where channels have the same displayed subscriber count, one will outgrow the other so that its displayed subscriber count will be larger, and with my system, once that happens, only the subscriber counts will have to be updated, but the order will not have to be changed. Also, I thought that having some sort of method behind this was generally a much better approach than "no particular order."

How does everyone feel about this system? Do you think it should remain in place? A Vexed Lens (talk) 01:14, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Moving Cocomelon up to #2

At this point it is probably safe to say Cocomelon has passed PewDiePie. Besides, they grow much faster than PewDiePie. SocialBlade also lists Cocomelon as ahead of PewDiePie. -Meow9999 (talk) 16:07, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

--And the fun part is look @ the number of children channels in top ten! Youtube is not just entertaining people, its pretty much raising our new generation as well!
