Friedmans Apostlar are the choir of the Stockholm School of Economics student association, founded in 1989.

Etymologi

The choir's name alludes to Bellman's work Fredman's Epistles and the American economist Milton Friedman.

History

The choir was founded in 1989 when the principal of the Stockholm School of Economics Staffan Burenstam-Linder asked for some singing at the doctoral dissertation. A group of students practiced the song De Brevitate Vitae. The rest of the repertoire includes songs by Bellman, Povel Ramel and Wilhelm Stenhammar, but also popular music by Abba, The Real Group and The Beatles. The choir then collaborated [when?] With the student associations orchestra Mercblecket, among others. Today, the choir collaborates on various occasions with the Music Society.
