Ferula gummosa is a perennial herb of Ferula in the family Apiaceae. It is native to Iran and Turkmenistan.[1] Its gum resin is called galbanum.

Ferula gummosa is usually monocarpic, which means it flowers and fruits only once in a life time before its death. However, there are also some polycarpic genotypes found in Iran.[2]
