WLAT is a radio station based in Hartford, Connecticut, playing Spanish Language Hit Music. Their city of license is New Britain, Connecticut. Owned by Freedom Communications, WLAT broadcasts with 5,000 watts day and night from towers located behind the Connecticut School of Broadcasting on Birdseye Road in Farmington. Studios are at 330 Main Street, Hartford, Connecticut.


Wlat is also the nickname of former University of Pittsburgh and Stanford University football coach Walt Harris. This nickname was given to Mr. Harris by a subsection of posters on pantherlair.com (This site was formerly run by Harry "Hot Beefy Man Stud" Psaros but is now being run into the ground by Jim "The Gunted One" Snyder, a website covering University of Pittsburgh athletics.

Wlat is also used by this subgroup when referring to Wal-Mart, ie Wlat-Mart or for any other person with the first name Walt. Wlat is used in songs such as the soccer Ole' substituted with WLAT.
