This article should adhere to the gender identity guideline because it contains material about one or more non-binary people. Precedence should be given to self-designation as reported in the most up-to-date reliable sources, anywhere in article space, even when it doesn't match what's most common in reliable sources. Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to by the pronouns, possessive adjectives, and gendered nouns (for example "man/woman", "waiter/waitress", "chairman/chairwoman") that reflect that person's latest expressed gender self-identification. Many, but not all, non-binary people go by singular they pronouns, which are acceptable for use in articles. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Former, pre-transition names may only be included if the person was notable while using the name; outside of the main biographical article, such names should only appear once, in a footnote or parentheses. If material violating this guideline is repeatedly inserted, or if there are other related issues, please report the issue to the LGBTQ+ WikiProject, or, in the case of living people, to the BLP noticeboard. |
Sold to Saudi Prince.
The fact that Analeigh was sold to a saudi prince, in a scam is well established in the show, I don't hae a print reference a the moment but i will find one. This fact should not be removed without discussion. and if there is any reason you believe it doesn't belong it should be talked about here. -Misty Willows (talk) 01:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- (Re: Nov 2 2014 change request) I initially tried to revert this, but it appears that this did indeed actually happen. Neither of the given sources supported it, but I didn't want to remove them without someone else's review. GQ Britain appears to have mentioned it in an article, but I couldn't find article text. I did find an interview with The Daily Beast which did support it, so I added it as a reference. 172.4.28.142 (talk) 06:50, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Notability?
Articles on Sheena Sakai and Joslyn Pennywell were already deleted earlier this season for notability reasons. It appears that unless you have outstanding qualities, or unless you won or came in 2nd place on ANTM, a Wiki article isn't going to fly. LegalFiction (talk) 04:34, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- the fact that Jocyln or Sheena had their pages deleted is not a defacto statment that only top 2 people should have pages. in fact being in the top 2, is not itself, any more notability than being on the show. Nik pace does not have a page, even though she was in the top 2. Heather Kusimich does have a page, just because Asperger's syndrome. -Misty Willows (talk) 07:09, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Just to point out, I did say that some ANTM with outstanding qualities did have their own pages, in particular Heather Kuzimich and Isis King, I suppose for their groundbreaking and for their causes. I have no idea why Nik Pace does not have a page. For all you know, nobody ever bothered to write it. But you're right, it is possible that Analeigh should have her own page if she is notable enough. That is why we're having a notability discussion here.LegalFiction (talk) 15:14, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
I personally think the only notable person in ANTM 11 is mckey and isis. i think analeigh should be deleted until she does something unique.218.186.12.10 (talk) 07:15, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- She is notable for figure being, a figure skater, a contestant on top model, and actress on the Big Bang Theory, and a social awareness figure regarding sex trafficking, Mckey on the other hand is notable ONLY for being on top. model. -Misty Willows (talk) 07:55, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know if she is an "awareness figure" for sex trafficking. Joslyn's page had all sorts of references to her being involved in a modeling scam, and had citations to MULTIPLE news sources regarding that issue, but the page was still deleted. Sheena actually produced an album, which is arguably a more notable accomplishment than appearing on a single episode of a single show, but her page was similarly deleted. I might want to say that the figuring skating is something, but let's face it, LOTS of people are figure skaters and not all of them have Wiki pages. I think the tag should stay and we'll see if the article becomes more flushed out and if this discussion comes to a consensus. LegalFiction (talk) 15:14, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
That was all that Joslyn was "notable" for. Analeigh is notable for modelling, figur skating, AND being sold to a Saudi Arabian prince.--Carrieunderwoodfan (talk) 18:23, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Tipton is not notable as a figure skater. She competed in pairs on the juvenile level and in synchro at the novice and junior levels. Kolindigo (talk) 17:19, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- That means that her figure skating ALONE, doesn't meet the notability requirements for having an article. It doesn't mean her figure skating isn't notable enough to be mentioned in her article. If you look at ::WP:WPFIGURE/N Criteria supporting notability:
- "Skaters who are not inherently notable, but may be notable for other reasons (this simply cannot be the only claim of notability):
- Competed at a domestic competition that is not that country's national championships (for example, qualifying competitions for the national championships, such as Eastern Sectionals in the United States and Central Ontario Sectionals in Canada).
- Skaters who compete at a level lower than Junior (ex: Novice (most countries), pre-Novice (in Canada), and Intermediate and Juvenile in the U.S.).
- Skaters who have competed at a competition in another country or at which skaters from other countries were also present, but where they were entered individually rather than as members of their national team (for example, the Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships)." -... Televion Chart
I have recently edited the televison chart, adding in Analeigh's latest work but when I saved the page, the chart moved to the external links section instead. If you click 'edit' for the external links section, the codes for the chart are not there. They are infact, saved to the filmography section but it doesn't appear there when viewing the article... Please remove the below content:
At the beginning of the show, Tipton revealed that she once encountered sex traffickers posing as modeling agents. She was then sold to a Saudi Arabian prince but managed to get out of the situation before the deal was finalized.[5][10]

In the opening paragraph, "for he role" should read "for her role".

Warm Bodies
There's a minor error in the section on her acting career, where the article refers to Warm Bodies as a horror movie. It's actually a comedic film about a romance between a girl and a zombie that's regaining human sentience, or something to that effect. --50.174.18.182 (talk) 06:56, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Please remove what is said about Saudi Arabian prince. It's not true, as none of the reference sources support this claim. Drosmand7 (talk) 04:19, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
