needs details of her life after Orwell's death. I'm on to it --Cunningham 20:56, 20 December 2005 (UTC) Why include a list of George Orwell's work in the article about Sonia Orwell/Brownell? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.108.29.120 (talk) 21:22, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- "However, there has never been a word of reproach from Orwell's adopted son Richard, who would certainly have opposed her had she been a mercenary."
Richard Horatio Blair was adopted by Eileen and Eric Blair in June 1944- aged three weeks. He was five years old when Eric Blair died. How could he have opposed anything ?89.204.243.139 (talk) 21:13, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
Although I am aware that this was never her legal name, I suggest that she should be known by her common name Sonia Orwell. PatGallacher (talk) 11:24, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Sonia Brownell → Sonia Orwell – Clearly her common name, the concept of legal name in Britain is not straightforward. She was not Sonia Brownell for much of her life, she could have been technically Sonia Blair then Sonia Pitt-Rivers. Relisted. second and latter wife?
What does "second and latter wife"? Wouldn't "second wife" suffice? The.real.curious.george (talk) 06:03, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
