China Agricultural University (中国农业大学) is a university in Beijing, China.

As it develops itself into an internationalised institution, China Agricultural University considers international exchange and cooperation to be a significant component of its mission. The university currently has established relationship, via exchange of memoranda of understanding or agreements, with 64 universities from 25 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. In addition, a number of contacts with international organizations have been established. A worldwide network for academic exchange and collaboration is under cultivation, and exchange of students between partner universities has been encouraged. A wide scope of communication and cooperation has been promoted.

Each year CAU invites more than 300 foreign experts to China for teaching, cooperative research and other academic activities, in addition to hosting international conferences, seminars or workshops on various agricultural subjects. Dozens of honourable professorship and guest professorship have been awarded to distinguished foreign experts by China Agricultural University. The number of international students to CAU has been increased significantly in recent years. Each year, CAU faculty and staff participate in more than 400 overseas visits for research, advanced training or conference. In addition, more and more CAU students are going abroad for training or further study.

International communication and exchange has also fostered a number of cooperative joint education and research programs, such as the one with the University of Hohenheim, Germany, started in 1984. More than two hundreds of German experts and students have visited CAU to conduct the joint projects and around 250 Chinese scholars and students visiting Germany. In addition, there are several successful joint education programs with universities in the US, Holland and UK, all strengthening CAU’s role in the international educational arena.
