Lee's Summit West High School is located at 2600 Southwest Ward Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Lee's Summit West High School opened in the fall of 2004 as the Lee's Summit R-VII School District's third high school. Current enrollment is approximately 1400. The mascot of the school is the Titan. It's school newspaper is called "Titan Scroll", which is a member of the High School National Ad Network. Since a $32 million bond passed in April 2006, the high school will be receiving facility improvements and an expansion.
Football
The Lee's Summit West Titan's football team progressed to the Missouri state playoffs during the first two years of existance. In 2005, the team further progressed to the state semi-finals.
Girl's Soccer
During the Titan's first two seasons, the girl's soccer team won back to back state championships.
Girl's Track and Field
The girls track team placed third at the state meet during the team's first season. In the following season, they placed first, winning them a state championship.
West Side Stage
West Side Stage (Lee's Summit West's Theatre Department), is in it's third season. The program for the 06-07 year contains The Grapes of Wrath, Violet, and The Jellybean Conspiracy. The department is run by Ben Martin. Past productions include The Diary of Anne Frank, Once Upon a Mattress, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and Pirates of Penzance.
Titan Debate and Forensics
The Lee's Summit West Titan Debate and Forensics Team is currently in its third season of competition. The Titans recently added a competitive dramatics department to their squad.
