Kanawut Traipipattanapong (Template:Lang-th), born December 4, 1997 in Thailand, nicknamed Gulf (Template:Lang-th), is a Thai actor and model. He is well known for his role as "Type" in TharnType: The Series.

Early life

Kanawut was born on December 4, 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand. He has one elder sister named Nattarika Traipipattanapong.

Kanawut went to the all-boys high school Suankularb Wittayalai School in Bangkok. After graduation, he attended King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, majoring Industrial Education and Technology and got his Bachelor's degree on November 14, 2020.

Career

Acting

In late January 2019, it was announced[1] that Kanawut would star as "Type"— one of the main protagonists of One 31 and LINE TV's TharnType: The Series.[2][3] The series immediately gained popularity within Thailand as well as internationally.[4] Kanawut and Suppasit, his fellow actor, won "Best Kiss Scene" at the LINE TV Awards 2020.[5][6] They have also appeared in the February issue of Harper's Bazaar Thailand, the first boys' love (BL) couple to do so in the history of the magazine.[7][8] An outpouring of fans trying to read the article caused Harper's Bazaar Thailand's website to crash.[9]

On August 24, 2020, Kanawut won the "Rising Star" and the "Best Young Actor" Prizes at the Kazz Award.[10]

On October 20, 2020, Kanawut and Suppasit won "Best Couple" at the Maya Awards[11]

Later, Kanawut starred as "Type"—one of the main protagonists in the second season of TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love, which premiered on LINE TV on November 6, 2020.[citation needed]

In March 2021, Kunawut was officially announced as an actor under Channel 3.[12]

On March 28, 2021, Kanawut won the "Moon of the Year" and the "ICONIC STAR of the Yniverse" prizes at the Yniverse Awards 2021. [13]

Modelling

Kanawut is the first male actor appeared on the cover of L'Officiel Thailand (August 2020),[14] and was featured in L'Officiel Hommes Thailand's hardcover fall issue collector's edition.[15]

Music

In August 2020, Kanawut was one of ten artists who joined a project, led by record label GMM Grammy, called Boyfriends.[16] Kanawut released his first single "แฟนผมหาย" ("Missing Baby") with colleague War Wanarat on 27 October 2020 under the GMM Boyfriends project.[17]

Others

Aside from his acting and modelling career, Kanawut also works as presenter of domestic brands, such as D.R.Drink, Bucher Thailand, Roller Coaster Thailand, as well as international brands like Sulwhasoo Thailand, KFC Thailand and The Body Shop Thailand.

On May 22, 2021, Kanawut was chosen to be the representative of the new generation working in biodiversity by Biodiversity CHM Thailand. [18]
