Photo of "sky" in Lincoln, Nebraska

Hi! About the photo of the sky that you removed in the article Lincoln, Nebraska... I see that you may be from Mississippi and you may not realize, but the "just sky" is as important & relevant to the Nebraska climate as cotton may be to the deep south. Storm clouds is what brings us in Nebraska rain and in turn the essential ingredient to crop production; while the lack of rain can create the opposite... dust bowl conditions, or at least devastating droughts & strain on the food chain. While Lincoln is a city and not an agricultural community per se, it is the capital of one the leading agricultural states in the nation... thus, the photo would seem at least partially relevant (as opposed to not relevant), according to MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE -- including the part 'Strive for variety'. Also will point out that the article was GA-rated with this photo. While I'll leave your edit as is (it's not a hill to die on since there is no hill) -- just wanted to point out that geographically speaking, one thing with meaning in one place may or may not have any meaning in another. Anywho, thanks for taking the time to read this! Hanyou23 (talk) 02:15, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! I always assume good faith and will not categorize your recent edits in the article Lincoln, Nebraska as a retributive editing spree within the article, since no reply was given to the above. It is somewhat hard to tell though, after your continued edits and removals within the article today without a reply back. Some edits I can agree with, but others make me wonder if you have read the article first before deleting. I implore you to please discuss your edits, since you may not be familiar with the area being discussed within the article, before resuming further removals or at least any further major edits in the article. Thank you! Hanyou23 (talk) 15:15, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hanyou23: My apology for not responding. Thank you for adding back two images. I agree they should not have been removed. Removing images can be delicate, because everyone wants to show off their personal photos. The only issue I still have is with the night skyline image. I will start a talk page discussion before deleting. Thank you for writing. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:22, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries :) . It's not a personal photo thing for me... the reason I started taking pictures of Lincoln all these years ago (not many as of late - priorities in life has shifted :/ ) is because before I did, there were very few photos of Lincoln, save for some random, historic photos/diagrams and a handful from a gentleman who lives 1.5 hours via Interstate west of the city. I'll go over there to discuss now :) . Thank you ^^ ! Hanyou23 (talk) 16:47, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Recent talk page message

Hello, you recently left a talk page message at User talk:2804:D49:D2D:9E00:EEF4:51FF:FE08:B897. This is a long-term issue that I have been monitoring since September 2020 because this user's edits to airport articles are often disruptive and non-constructive. Please see the edits made by the 2804:D49:DC3:AF00:EEF4:51FF:FE08:B897/41 and 2804:D49:D11:2900:EEF4:51FF:FE08:B897/41 IP ranges. It is also worth noting that some of the IPs used in 2020 may have been related to this sockpuppet investigation from 2015 and 2016. Johnj1995 (talk) 15:58, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Johnj1995: Looks pretty fishy. I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:28, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation on why you reverted some of my edits

I really don't get it. I apologize for sounding like this. Although I know some of my edits are in good faith which is the reason why I want to talk to you on why you reverted my edits to explain some reasons on why you reverted them. Here's some of the things I noticed on the following edits:

  • On the edit of WSBN, the edit was to reflect the new name of the Washington Football Team given that they're no longer named the "Redskins". This was done in good faith and it was necessary to ensure clarification.
  • On the edit of Astral Media. Also in Good Faith because it was to reflect the new name of the owners.

The others still needs some work, including the section regarding to Jackson, Mississippi which has little to no information on transpiration and some of these elements, including highways, are in the Geology section. If you're still up to debate, feel free to talk about it.

20chances (talk) 18:27, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@20chances: Thank you for writing. With this edit you added "WildBrain (then known as DHX Media at the time of renaming)" three times, in three consecutive sentences. Was that an improvement? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:27, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Replacing DHX with Wildbrain on the first part is fine (Where it says now owned by [Company Name]). As for the others, I'm not sure. 20chances (talk) 21:42, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@20chances: I'm not sure either. And with this edit, you wrote, "In 2017, WMAL started broadcasting Washington Redskins (later known as the Washington Football Team in 2020)". Why did you add "later known as the Washington Football Team in 2020"? You are writing about an event in 2017, when it was called the "Washington Redskins". Why is it necessary to give readers information about something completely unrelated to this article about a radio station? Any reader wishing to know more about the football team need only click Washington Redskins and they will be redirected to Washington Football Team, where the second sentence says, "Formerly known as the Washington Redskins". It would be like writing, "Fred loved to drive old cars and purchased a mint condition 1931 Datsun (later known as Nissan in 1986)". Magnolia677 (talk) 22:12, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, of course, I am aware the team name is old. Even if the team name is formerly used, it goes to a redirect. If they're still broadcasting matches from the team that changed its named, of course its mentioned. Of course, its not used all the time. As I said before, I am aware that the team has changed its name. 20chances (talk) 22:44, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Demopolis Wikipedia Page

I keep trying to edit the Demopolis page to make it accurate and up to date (because its so inaccurate in some areas) and was even asked by city government officials to do so, yet you guys (you and that person with Batty in their username) keep reverting my edits? What is your deal? I properly cited the sources so this isn't a case of vandalism. I'm really curious as to how I am not allowed to edit the page, although I am from the town that is the subject of the page, and you are. Please don't tell me Wikipedia has some kind of caste system outlining who is allowed to edit articles and who is not. If you are going to somehow ban me from making edits to my own hometown's page, fine, but at least go and take another look at my edits. I trust that you'll find that at least some of them should be reverted back and the edits allowed to stay. The citizens of this town deserve to have a Wikipedia page representing them that isn't filled with outdated and inaccurate information.

Update. I just got an email back from the town official who tasked me with editing the page. He said that if my edits are reverted again for no good reason, they are going to work to figure out how to request the page be locked and access turned over to me/them. 207.203.133.122 (talk) 22:48, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@207.203.133.122 and Tristanmullen1999: Hey friend. Calm down. Tell the mayor the Wiki page will get some improvements. I have two questions though. First, are you getting paid for your edits, and second, is Smokin' Jacks ribs still on Highway 80 in front of the Walmart? Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:21, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request

Hi, If you could create stubs(?) for Fred Hall (Canadian politician) and Jack Mould (Canadian politician) I'd be glad to work on articles rather than use the page on York reeves and mayors. I'm not able to create new articles because my account is new.
