Head-to-Head Records Against Other Countries

It states here that England and Italy have played against each other 27 times (7 wins each and six draws). 7 + 7 + 6 = 20. Which column is wrong? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.132.232.236 (talk) 09:54, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bias everywhere

The article is laughably biased throughout. Everything good an Italian did is extraordinarily wonderful, while no one from other countries ever did anything of note, apparently. Ballotelli's goals against Germany in 2012 were "phenomenal" while Spain's performance in the final (and Brazil's in the 1970 final) don't even deserve a mention. 81.153.242.115 (talk) 14:50, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Keep in mind, this article is specifically about Italy's football team, other countries are not relevant to the article. -- MacAddct1984 (talk • contribs) 15:31, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't change the fact that the page is ridiculously biased. Almost every loss is listed as "controversial." Going by this page you'd think the Italian team is invincible and can only be beaten by bad calls. 98.119.155.64 (talk) 01:41, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

History

The language used here looks like it was written by fan. The tone can perhaps be made more encyclopedic. I will come back to this section but any help from other editors will be appreciated. A Bartenders Vegs (talk) 19:20, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Historic broadcasters

Could some please add in the historic broadcasters of the Italy national football team? Add them on the media coverage section. Wonderwizard (talk) 20:58, August 29 2014 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Italy national football team. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. kit history

Very bad choice to modify the kist hisrory section, copying exactly thr format used in the Italian version. The quality is worse, very different from the standard format used in the other national team pages (english version) and where is the kit of UEFA Euro 2004?--93.35.183.231 (talk) 08:39, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Modified your post to say 2004 not 2014, as you said on my talk page.
Please tell me how it's not the same quality? This table, as an example just taking 2010 World Cup from the Italian page which I've translated and put into the English page. It is nicely presented into home and away kits and who the manufacturer was.
2010 World Cup
Home Away
Puma
Now the singular kit from previous doesn't show the away kit for this World Cup AND tell me what the difference in quality is? They are virtually the exact same with the edition of the badge in the middle of the shirt.
2010 World Cup
I've also added the Euro 2004 kit now. Thanks.

Not 100% true

"It was the first time Italy failed to win a single game at a World Cup finals tournament, and in doing so became the third nation to be eliminated in the first round while holding the World Cup crown, the first one being Brazil in 1966 and the second France in 2002.". Without considering the interrupt due to the Second world war, Italy - world champion in 1938 and eliminated in the first round in 1950 in Brazil was the first team. Dino Rediferro (talk) 19:57, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's a formality. We go by sources, and they said Italy's the third team. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 20:27, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring/Article protected

Hi everyone. I see a lot of edit warring but, sadly, the talk page remains untouched. Please use the talk page and/or WP:DR to resolve your differing viewpoints. --regentspark (comment) 00:25, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Results and fixtures

The full updated list of scheduled official matches for the year 2020 is now available on the FICG website at the following link: https://www.figc.it/en/national-teams/news/the-azzurri-s-next-fixtures-confirmed-italy-to-face-bosnia-and-herzegovina-in-florence-then-the-netherlands-in-amsterdam-friendlie --Blocci (talk) 16:08, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism from user Nehme1499

The user Nehme1499 keeps cutting of the squad players who have been called for the last 2 matches of Italy in September 2019. He does not understand and does not try to explain his changes.--Blocci (talk) 18:07, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recent call-ups

Please note that model insistently proposed by the user Nehme 1499 is not used in the vast majority of the Wikipedia pages of the national football teams.

To justify his continuous changes he claims that the model he wants to impose is used on the Wikipedia page of Lebanon football team, which is not a standard for Wikipedia. --Blocci (talk) 16:35, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are these info needed?

Hi fellows wikipedians

in section "current squad" is following text (placed before the table) worthy?

"Stefano Sensi withdrew injured and was replaced by Matteo Pessina on 7 June.[1] Lorenzo Pellegrini withdrew injured and was replaced by Gaetano Castrovilli on 10 June.[2]"

As these info are definitively appropriate for the page UEFA Euro 2020 squads, here are worthless, as the section "recent call-ups"" extensively incorporate the info and better explain. My suggestion is to remove the text.

anyone agree?

Riktetta (talk) 07:19, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen this sort of information displayed often, though I don't have a strong stance on it. Nehme1499 07:58, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe so. They are also in the recent call-ups as injured. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 14:21, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Added again these two sources. In only this one Pessina and Castrovilli are not included in the current (and final) squad.--Island92 (talk) 22:31, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I added this text because there is no source for the current squad, just one for the call-up and then those for the replacements. If you don't have the text, it sounds as if Pessina and Castrovilli were part of the original call-up which would be wrong. Regards SoWhy 08:22, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom of Italy

On the last paragraph of the introduction it says that the house of Savoy ruled the Kingdom of Italy from 1860, but that Kingdom only started existing from 1861. --Sirio Resteghini (talk) 21:37, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
