Bangladesh Mashoor-ul-Haque Memorial High School and College, commonly known as Bangladesh M. H. M. School, is a non-government institution operated by the Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar.[citation needed]
The institution follows the national curriculum of Bangladesh under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) of Dhaka.
History

It was established in 1979.[1]
In 2005 the chairperson of the BISE of Dhaka, Prof. Shaheda Obaed, stated that the managing committee setup is not legal under BISE rules and should be abolished. The BISE also stated that no teachers may be fired without BISE approval; there was controversy after the principal of MHM fired two popular teachers.[2]
The school was renovated in 2006.[3]
Injustice

On july 2019 a HSC examinee had her answer sheet taken away by a science teacher who was the invigilator that morning. His accusation, "she was sharing her paper with the student behind her". When in reality, the student behind her was copying. She missed answering a huge amount of questions because of the lack of time. She was called a few days later to the principals office when the invigilator was found guilty, and the most he could do was apologize. The examinee's words- " SORRY ISNT HELPING ". As usual the school wasn't taking anything serious as the subject was an optional subject. The vice principal even went to a point and said "its an optional subject, it doesn't matter if you pass or fail"
Bullying

The school has a severe case of Bullying. Many of the victims are targeted because of their skin color, their body and shocking enough, many of the times they are bullied for their ability to play.
the school has an annual sports day, and the Judges doing the selections often use sentences like "Ew what kind of a jump was that?" which is heavily demotivating for students. Hitting for no reason is one of the most common cases of Bullying. if a student tries to go meet the principal to complain, maximum of the time they aren't allowed to go inside.
Smoking and gambling
Many of the students Carry tobacco, vape aka E-cigarettes or normal tobacco cigarettes and even smoke them in the school. Alcohol consumption is also common for them, Gambling is also common in that school, infact a video of some student of B.M.H.M School and College gambling inside their school bus is available on the internet, many of the times others are also influenced by them and it all happens during school time.
Transport
This school does not uses its own transport for the comfort of its students and facilities. school maintains a fleet of school buses. As of 2020[update] the school had over 35 buses, Three of which were recently acquired.[1]
School fee
Since 2015 till 2020 there was a fee called the "ID fee". This information was sent to the supreme education council of Qatar and they ordered Bangladesh mhm school to stop taking this fee as it was illigal in the state of Qatar. Just so they can take this extra fee, the school changed the word "ID fee" to "Other Fee". The fee is 100﷼
In the year 2020, the SSC exam was on march, yet they took fees of april, may and june. When the parents or any students oppose, they say "why are you making a huge deal of this small situation" while they swollow the hard earned money of the students parents.
"ICT fee" also known as the fee to use the computers in the school is still being taken even though the school is shut down due to covid restrictions in Qatar. The fee is 25-30﷼
Student body
As of 2020[update] the school had around 3000 to 4000 students and around . It serves the Bangladeshi expatriates in Qatar .[1]
