Reailable Source

Just need help to define what is the criteria of a reliable source. As my contribution has been denied with the justification of reliable source. I have tried my best to gather all information possible in the English Language when the subject has many articles in the Nepali language as well. But in the English Language, it is very difficult to locate. So I think it is unfair to label unreliable sources when the existing source is the credible source in Nepal. Please help with how to define it. The subject is a highly respected businessman of Nepal with a great contribution to developing industrial and financial services in Nepal. In fact, his family members introduced Coca Cola in Nepal, Carlsberg in Nepal (even in India as his brother CP Khetan is 33% shareholder of Carlsberg India), introduced banking in Nepal as they are promotor of Nepal Bank (first private sector bank of Nepal), Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Bank. Thus just want to get your suggestion on how to proceed. Thank you for your intervention and looking forward receiving your support.

@Manishthapa1981:Reliable Sources are sources that are neutral and verifyable. WP:RSP may help. A major problem is that some of the sources used are promotional and unreliable. At times the article is written like a resume, which violates WP:NPOV. After rereading the article it appears he is notable but the sourcing needs improvement. Enlabs AB draft declined

Hello Eternal Shadow,

First of all, thank you for reviewing Draft:Enlabs_AB.

I was just curious if you took into consideration that the company is publicly traded? I know that doesn't make the company automatically notable according to WP:LISTED, but just wondered if it has been taken into account?
A quote from WP:LISTED "There has been considerable discussion over time whether publicly traded corporations, or at least publicly traded corporations listed on major stock exchanges such as the NYSE and other comparable international stock exchanges, are inherently notable"
According to Wikipedia's list of major stock exchanges, Nasdaq Nordic ranks 15th on the list. So I guess it is a major stock exchange?

Taking that into consideration, and on top of that there are references that are independent as far as I understand, for example reference 1 (Stockopedia), reference 2 (Yahoo News) and reference 9 (Reuters). I guess references about acquisitions and sponsorship agreements are more promotional indeed but I can clean those up.

Would really appreciate to get some feedback on this. Thanks Randomhero77 (talk) 14:28, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help to make the article neutral on Draft:Elijah Chinezim Onyeagba

Thank you for your review and recommendation. As a new user I am trying as much as I can to use this draft to learn how to publish on Wikipedia and your recommendation for neutrality is in need of the help of expert editors like yourself in helping me meet Wikipedia standard. Kindly recommend necessary phrases or paragraph that are lacking in neutrality. Thank you for your very important time and attention. Bibihans (talk) 08:31, 11 May 2021 (UTC)Bibihans[reply]

Ask for a Re-review Draft:Kimia_Sharbafian

Hello Eternal Shadow.

You recently denied submission of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Kimia_Sharbafian

Editor's summary: Declining submission: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.

This article is a biography of musician Kimia Sharbafian and her performance history in Iran as an oboe Player.

What specifics are you looking for to make this submission acceptable? I fixed the citation for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Kimia_Sharbafian And eager to get re-review Sincerely yours Pedar Padesha — Preceding unsigned comment added by PedarPadesha (talkcontribs) 10:11, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment on my https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Sandeep_Kumar_Mishra for the neutrality. I have added so many reliable third party references and photos. I have made necessary adjustments in line with Wikipedia standard. Kindly review at your most convenient time out of your tight schedule. Thanks Workhardalltime (talk) 05:24, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I don't understand why you declined my submission for AFC at Draft:1979 Portland State Vikings football team. If you compare it to other single-season Portland State articles, all but the 2020 season (4 refs) have less references than my submission. Also, in Category:Stub-Class college football articles, there are thousands of short season articles that have 0-3 references. And while WP:NSEASONS says it should consist of "well-sourced prose", there are at least 7,500 college football season articles that fail this with 1-7 sentences, a schedule, and possibly some players for the team. Is the reason you declined it because of not enough references, or because it's a stub? Thanks. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:58, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question about declined post

Hi, You declined my submission (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jeff_Burger) but I'm not sure I understand why. The comment says it is not written in a "formal tone" and should avoid "peacock terms." Can you please give me examples of sentences that need to be revised or deleted? The only lines I see that could be seen as "promoting the subject" are in quoted material from independent published sources but I could delete those if that's the problem. Many thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Tagging CSD G13 stale drafts

Hello, Eternal Shadow,

Thanks for your help with speedy deletion tagging. There is one thing to keep in mind though if you want to tag stale drafts for CSD G13. They are eligible for deletion 6 months after the last human edit to the page and we are pretty strict about not tagging and deleting them too early, just as a way to keep everyone following the same rules. But Wikipedia runs on UTC time, not U.S. time. I believe you are on the U.S. West Coast and you have probably set up your Preferences to show the local time. If you are looking at the edit history of an article from December 27, 2020, it would be eligible at 2 pm Pacific Time (June) if the last edit was at 1 pm Pacific Time (December) or earlier. That's because we are in Daylight Savings Time now and in December 2020 we were in Standard Time. So, there is a one hour time difference between the time now and the time six months ago in the edit history. And this whole thing gets reversed when we change time again in the fall and there is an hour difference in the other direction. There isn't much of the year where the time period of six months ago is the same as the time period in the present.

I've found it helpful to have a UTC clock in the upper right hand side of my screen (I'm on a laptop) but I don't remember how I set this up...they could probably tell you at the Teahouse. And I go by SDZeroBot's G13's lists which shows the expiring time of drafts in UTC time so it's easier to avoid mistakes.

And, just to let you know, this is a mistake most U.S. editors make when looking at drafts from months and months ago. When one is in the U.S., it's sometimes hard to remember that Wikipedia time is different from our own local time. Thank you and let me know if you have any questions. Liz Read! Talk! 21:30, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. One way to tell if you've tagged a G13 draft too early is that the deletion tag is pink. Somehow, the system knows! Liz Read! Talk! 21:40, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Makes sense how the time change works. I’ll make sure to try the new method when doing G13 drafts in the future. Eternal Shadow Talk 00:44, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding Draft:NADDPOD, as I said, if you are in the U.S. where there is Daylight Savings time, add an hour to the last human edit and that's when the draft can be deleted. So, if you are on the U.S. West Coast, and the last human edit on the draft says it happened at 5 pm, December 29, 2020, you can tag it at 6 pm, June 29, 2021. This will be the situation until fall 2021. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 01:03, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
How early did I tag it? Was I a few minutes too early (as it appears on my end) or did I tag way too early? I feel like I am improving my timing but still tag early at times. Eternal Shadow Talk 02:21, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Draft:ANSONBEAN appears as exactly 6 months on my end; tagged it and I wonder how it appears on your end. Eternal Shadow Talk 02:23, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 07:25:11, 5 July 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Excellenc1

My article is a translation of the Spanish article by the same name (The Good Burger) and the citations I have used are mostly from that article. So is that the article is notable in Spanish but not in English (because the policies differ) or maybe you would like to compare both and approve my draft? Thank you! Re: Articles for creation: Teddy Goitom

Dear User Eternal Shadow,

Thank you very much for looking at the draft Teddy Goitom I've created and giving me useful feedback on how to improve it. I am very grateful that you noticed that there have been some tone improvements and pointed me in the right direction on how to further improve it. I have re-edited the article to my best knowledge and re-submitted it.

Thank you and kind regards,
