For alternate names, should Johnny be included? Johnny in that spelling is the familial formation of John

Alphabetization

I've alphabetized all of the "Famous Jonathans" and added one. I would suggest that if you add a name to this list, please put it where it belongs alphabetically. I'm anal about that sort of thing:) --Jechasteen 05:57, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Split

I'm not sure which came first, but this page needs to be split into at least two. The biblical figure deserves his own article on Wikipedia free of any material on the name itself, except a link to the name article. Likewise, the name deserves its own article, especially since there is confusion over the relationship between Jonathan and John. I would prefer Jonathan (Biblical figure) and Jonathan as the article titles. -Acjelen 16:30, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
