Paul Milton Glatzel (born 20 February 2001) is an English-German footballer who plays as a forward for Tranmere Rovers, on loan from Liverpool.
Club Career
Glatzel signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on his 18th birthday on 20 February 2019, midway through the 2018-19 campaign.[1] Glatzel finished the campaign as the squad's leading scorer on 28 goals in all competitions.[2]
On the 25 April 2019, Glatzel captained Liverpool U18s to their victory in the 2018/19 FA Youth Cup Final against Manchester City; scoring the winning penalty in the penalty shoot-out.[3] Glatzel finished as the competition's top scorer with 8 goals in 6 appearances.[4]
Glatzel signed on loan for Tranmere Rovers on 2 July 2021.[5]
International Career
Glatzel represented England at youth level before switching allegiances to Germany, due to his eligibility through his parents.
He made his Germany U18 debut under Frank Kramer against Belgium in a friendly in Brussels, scoring his first goal in the first 10 minutes in a 3-0 win.[6]
