Paul Milton Glatzel (born 20 February 2001) is an English-German footballer who plays as a forward for Tranmere Rovers, on loan from Liverpool.

Club Career

Glatzel signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on his 18th birthday on 20 February 2019, midway through the 2018-19 campaign.[1] Glatzel finished the campaign as the squad's leading scorer on 28 goals in all competitions.[2]


On the 25 April 2019, Glatzel captained Liverpool U18s to their victory in the 2018/19 FA Youth Cup Final against Manchester City; scoring the winning penalty in the penalty shoot-out.[3] Glatzel finished as the competition's top scorer with 8 goals in 6 appearances.[4]

Glatzel signed on loan for Tranmere Rovers on 2 July 2021.[5]

International Career

Glatzel represented England at youth level before switching allegiances to Germany, due to his eligibility through his parents.[6]

He made his Germany U18 debut under Frank Kramer in a 3-0 win over Belgium in a friendly in Brussels, scoring his first youth international goal in the 10th minute of the game.[7]
