H.E.R changes
Hey!
I indeed edited the notes because I recognised the Michael Jackson vocals from 'You Rock My World'. It's such a nerdy detail that it isn't published anywhere yet. But I also noticed that in the same notes it said Ant Clemons provides background vocals on 'Damage' which was stated without citation and hasn't necessarily been confirmed anywhere. What's the difference between that note and mine? Just asking for future reference!
Your signature
Hello Qwerfjkl there is a problem with your user signature. Specifically you are transcluding templates (Template:Z181 and Template:Tlx) in your signature, in violation of the signature policy (c.f. Wikipedia:Signatures#Transclusion_of_templates_(or_other_pages)). Please fix this before using your signature again. You may do this at Special:Preferences. If you are not sure what to fix, uncheck the "Treat the above as wiki markup..." box and remove everything in the "Signature:" box to revert to the default signature. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. — xaosflux Talk 13:07, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Qwerfjkl,
First, thanks for your work here. But I do have one request, when you decline redirect request, you typically ask the editor to supply you with relevant information that would justify the redirect. But then you close the request as declined. Most editors, especially new ones, will only see the message that the request was declined and not open the discussion to see your request. So, could you leave the declined requests open for at least a day after you've declined them instead of immediately closing them? Then it would give the requester an opportunity to respond. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:06, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Liz Enterprisey's script does this, so Enterprisey might need to change the script to allow this. —Qwerfjkltalk 19:12, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Liz I could, however, add {{tb}}, which would be easier. —Qwerfjkltalk 19:36, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Qwerfjkl,
- First, thanks for the talk page notice. I don't always check for pings. If the script that closes discussions does this, then I guess I should really be talking to Enterprisey. It would be great if the script just closed a discussion without hatting it. Liz Read! Talk! 17:10, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- Enterprisey is probably busy due to this currently, so I'll add {{tb}} in the meantime. An ideal solution would be to have a watered-down version of the current AfC reviewed template for redirects. ―Qwerfjkltalk 20:42, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi Qwerfjkl, Do you have any interest in weighing back in on the Étienne de Perier article? I've been working on a full rewrite and it could benefit from having some more voices in the discussion. Everything's been rewritten and updated on the main article, except for his time as governor. That section is in progress at Talk:Étienne de Perier/Temp. —Carter (talk) 22:10, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Tcr25 I'm happy to discuss, but I may be busy due to this. ―Qwerfjkltalk 06:25, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
- Qwerfjkl, I understand, but if you have a chance to join in, I'd appreciate it. —Carter (talk) 12:36, 30 June 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus has been reached to delete all books in the book namespace. There was rough consensus that the deleted books should still be available on request at WP:REFUND even after the namespace is removed.
- An RfC is open to discuss the next steps following a trial which automatically applied pending changes to TFAs.
- IP addresses of unregistered users are to be hidden from everyone. There is a rough draft of how IP addresses may be shown to users who need to see them. This currently details allowing administrators, checkusers, stewards and those with a new usergroup to view the full IP address of unregistered users. Editors with at least 500 edits and an account over a year old will be able to see all but the end of the IP address in the proposal. The ability to see the IP addresses hidden behind the mask would be dependent on agreeing to not share the parts of the IP address they can see with those who do not have access to the same information. Accessing part of or the full IP address of a masked editor would also be logged. Comments on the draft are being welcomed at the talk page.
- The community authorised COVID-19 general sanctions have been superseded by the COVID-19 discretionary sanctions following a motion at a case request. Alerts given and sanctions placed under the community authorised general sanctions are now considered alerts for and sanctions under the new discretionary sanctions.

Kepa requested redirects enquiry
- There are examples of these sort of redirects. For example: James (footballer) and Jorginho (footballer, born December 1991) - these are pseudonyms and not actual names, so it should apply for Kepa as fans usually refer to him as that, as said in his article. 92.237.102.75 (talk)

Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Draft:Servants of Christ the King, you may be blocked from editing. Creating multiple copies of the draft in a way that appears to be vandalism. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:54, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- In reviewing your history, which is constructive, it appears that you may have accidentally had some sort of editing malfunction or script malfunction. If so, please do whatever is necessary so that this doesn't happen again. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:02, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

Paolo Ruggiero page
Qwerfjkl, I am trying to understand what is the problem with the references I have provided. Paolo Ruggiero is a page I already created on wikipedia Italia, so this is a translation. If the references where ok for the Italian page, why shouldn't they be fine for the English version? I have also added extra references, but I cannot add references for the early years of Paolo Ruggiero's life. Do you expect from me to upload his birth certificate? or the bachelor's degree? Thank you in advance for helping me to understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Falcone181 (talk • contribs) 20:14, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

- Also, the Italian Wikipedia may have different policies on both BLPs and sources. ―Qwerfjkltalk 06:14, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for approving the draft article I wrote. Do you know how to italicise article titles? So for example if you look at Monroe v Hopkins the title is in italics; I need this for Kirkegaard v Smith. Sheldon1567 (talk) 14:46, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

Recent changes
- The tool to find, add and remove templates was updated. This is to make it easier to find and use the right templates. It was supposed to come to the first wikis on 7 July. It was delayed to 12 July instead. It will come to more wikis later this year. [1][2]
- Special:UnconnectedPages lists pages that are not connected to Wikidata. This helps you find pages that can be connected to Wikidata items. Some pages should not be connected to Wikidata. You can use the magic word
__EXPECTED_UNCONNECTED_PAGE__
on pages that should not be listed on the special page. [3]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 20 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 21 July. It will be on all wikis from 22 July (calendar).
Future changes
- How media is structured in the parser's HTML output will soon change. This can affect bots, gadgets, user scripts and extensions. You can read more. You can test it on Testwiki or Testwiki 2.
- The parameters for how you obtain tokens in the MediaWiki API were changed in 2014. The old way will no longer work from 1 September. Scripts, bots and tools that use the parameters from before the 2014 change need to be updated. You can read more.

Request on 11:25:06, 22 July 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Excellenc1
- Excellenc1 (talk · contribs)
Let me first talk about the insufficient context sentence wise.
The Departmental Council of Gard (French: Conseil Départemental du Gard, Occitan: Conselh Departamental de Gard) is the deliberative assembly of the Gard department of France.: This simply mentions that a certain departmental council is a deliberative assembly (a meeting of members who use parliamentary procedure; a smaller version of the parliament) of a certain department in France, link to terms are given for meaning.
It consists of 46 members (general councilors) from 23 cantons and its headquarters are in Nîmes.: This says that the above mentioned council has 46 members elected from 23 cantons of the department and its head office is in the commune of Nimes.
Then comes a list of vice presidents of the council, now cited with 2 self-published reliable sources.
The article as of now has four good citations, and the article can be easily understood by anyone (although I accept the fact that some might not get what a department is). Similar articles on the topic (made by me) were also accepted. (Visit the last few departmental council links on my userpage)
Excellenc1📞 11:25, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Accepted. Please do not use the AfC.process if you have experience in creating articles; it just adds to the backlog. Thanks! ―Qwerfjkltalk 12:34, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

I didn't know what do I put as the headline, so sorry if I messed up. Also I don't know if I should ask this on a talk page, so inform me if I shouldn't.
As per your userbox, you have been here for 5 months now. How did you, in this short period of time, become an extended confirmed user, pending changes reviewer, rollbacker, autoconfirmed user, Apprentice Editor (and some other titles)? I have been here for over an year, I still am an editor with just 830 edits. Is it because you knew all about Wikipedia before joining or you were too dedicated to Wikipedia for 5 months? Excellenc1📞 13:06, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Excellenc1 My edit count is mainly due to WP:AWB and WP:CTIOC (though that is irrelevant and doesn't reflect any experience). Rights are fairly easy to gain if you are eligible, and I have previously done large amounts of anti-vandalism work. Mostly, it comes from the fact that I spend a lot of time on Wikipedia ―Qwerfjkltalk 13:12, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
Change your award
As per the edit count here, you have made 20342 edits (in English Wikipedia). But your Service Award Progress says you have 9220 edits. Is it because you didn't update your template? Excellenc1📞 05:46, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

About making changes to the Dharampal page on Wikipedia
Hi, a few weeks ago, I had a discussion with you on a Wikipedia entry where the changes were rolled back repeatedly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dharampal).
At that time, an analysis showed that the IP-Check-Tool on Wikipedia seemed to identify as violations, publication information (such as book title, author, etc) as well as run of the mill phrases (such as, (i) “…thinker, historian and political philosopher”, (ii) ”… of the cultural, scientific and technological achievements of Indian society on the eve of the British conquest” (iii) “Gandhiji’s call for Individual Satyagraha in October 1940”,).
In light of this discovery, it was concluded that there were no violations of IP or copyright in the changes being made. Today (and yesterday), I have made significant changes to the previous text in order to provide a reasonably comprehensive summary of Dharampal's life and work.
I am burdening you with this information as a measure of precaution intended to prevent a recurrence of a roll-back on the Wiki entry.
Thanks and sorry for the longish message and the bother.

Relisting
Your relisting contains a strange relisting comment "Consensus is on merging or deleting". If there is consensus, the discussion should be closed instead of relisted. Or if there is no consensus, you should not make that comment. Or if you agree with merging/deleting you should participate in the discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:53, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
Dear Qwerfjkl,
Thanks for your quick response to my latest edits of Richmond Jay Bartlett. Please clarify what in my article needs more inline citations. I believe that the direct quotes (2) and material needing a footnote have been referenced with inline citations and footnotes in the References section.
I look forward to your advice on this.
