Nancy Lee Katz (1947–2018) was an American photographer.

Katz was known for her portraits of famous musicians, artists and writers. Her 25-year project of photographing people in the arts whose work she respected was private in the extreme; she did not exhibit or publish or offer her prints for sale. It was only following her death that the work was offered to major museums. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston holds 46 of her photographs, including her portraits of Richard Serra, Robert Rauschenberg, Ravi Shankar, Maya Lin, Martin Puryear and Louise Bourgeois.[1] Her work is also included in the photography department collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Collection of the Supreme Court, Israel Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art, National Gallery of Canada, New Orleans Museum of Art, and the RISD Museum.
