Srikant Murali (also spelt Srikanth Murali) is a versatile Indian actor, director and ad filmmaker. He is known for Home(2021), Aby (2017), Virus (2019) and Action Hero Biju (2016). Srikant started his carrier with K. G. George as his assistant in the year 1988, when he was 16 years. Later he has joined as an assistant to Mr Priyadarshan, the ace film director and producer in the year 1996, and worked with him for his all film ventures till 2006. In 2008 he has started his production house with his friends in Kochi. Srikant's directorial feature debut was Aby (film) in 2017. As an actor he has many character roles in his name. [1] In 2017 in his directorial debut Aby he portrayed the life of Saji Mathew who wants to fly an aeroplane.[2] The film features Vineeth Sreenivasan in the lead, whereas Aju Varghese and Suraj Venjaramoodu play supporting roles. The movie depicts how the hero struggles to make his dream come true and the obstacles he faces on his way to success and achieve glory. [3] Srikant also has worked in popular movies like Chathur Mukham, Forensic, Under World and Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal. [4]
Career
Srikant started his carrier with K. G. George as his assistant in the year 1988, when he was 16 years. After completing his graduation in Chemistry from M G University, Srikant Murali himself started doing short films and documentaries for DD TVM in 1992. Hails from a traditional malayali family, he is a well trained Kadhakali artist, proved his caliber both in art and literature during his school and college days, has joined as an assistant to Mr Priyadarshan, [5] the ace film director and producer in the year 1996, and worked with him for his all film ventures till 2006. He started working as a freelance film maker, later launched his own production house called “Mindscape productions” in 2008. Mindscape productions, Cochin, India, which started in 2008, [6] is the result of contributions encompassed in establishing the core idea for many advertising as well as film production houses in Kerala’s ( a state in India) in the present scenario. This included their roles in helping to launch lifestyle products, textile, Gold, Real estate, Builders, awareness campaigns, T V shows, art and cultural events etc. [7]

In 2016 Srikant re-entered the filmdom as an actor. He has many acclaimed roles and a directorial credit in his name. [9]
He also worked as the eviction director of BIGG BOSS MALAYALAM SEASON 01 & 02
Personal life
Srikant Murali is married to Sangeeta Prabhu a well known playback singer in filmdom. [10] They have a son named Madhavan born in 2008.
