Angara is a village in the Angara CD block in the Ranchi Sadar subdivision of the Ranchi district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Demographics

According to the 2011 Census of India, Angara had a total population of 2,852, of which 1,461 (51%) were males and 1,391 (49%) were females. Population in the age range 0-6 years was 471. The total number of literate persons in Angara was 1,459 (61.28% of the population over 6 years).[3]

Education

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya is a Hindi-medium girls only institution established in 2006. It has facilities for teaching from class VI to class XII. It has a library with 750 books and has 5 computers for teaching and learning purposes.[4]

Model School, Angara is a government run English-medium coeducational institution established at Berwari in 2012. It has facilities for teaching from class VI to class X.[5]
