Hypsugo lanzai moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Hypsugo lanzai, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 14:46, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
Welcome to WikiProject Bats!
Thanks for your recent interest in editing bat articles! Happy to have another bat editor around :) Let me know if you need help with anything! Enwebb (talk) 23:36, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
- Just letting you know that editing someone else's talk page comments should generally be avoided (just part of Wiki-etiquette!) We have lots of policies and guidelines you'll learn as you keep editing, and no one expects you to know them all. The specific guideline here is WP:TPO. Happy editing! Speciesboxes
Hi, good to see the new articles you are creating! Could you please remember to add |taxon=
to {{Speciesbox}} templates? (See e.g. Artibeus aequatorialis). The taxobox may appear correct without this parameter, but it then relies on the page title, so could break if moved or other changes were made. Peter coxhead (talk) 11:03, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Prasinoxena edits
Hello, I did a bunch of edits on the series of moth articles you created in the genus Prasinoxena. Thanks for creating those. If you have any questions about my edits or wonder why I did what I did, feel free to ask. I put some notes in the edit summaries, but that might not be clear enough. Keep up the good work. Hello, TheLordOfWikis
Thank you for creating Austrarchaea judyae.
User:Nerd1a4i, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
May I suggest, since you're batch creating these, that you also make sure to add in wikilinks, italic title template, italics & bold on the first use of the article name in the body, and taxobar (the last to be connected to wikidata)? I'd be happy to explain how to do any of these things. Thanks for putting all the work in :)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gianna Bryant (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. GPL93 (talk) 18:46, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Recreating pages that have been deleted under a different name can be viewed as disruptive editing. I am assuming that you were unaware that the page for Gianna Bryant had been redirected and protected as a result of a deletion discussion, which is why the page for Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant was speedy deleted. Hello, TheLordOfWikis
Thank you for creating Eriauchenius ratsirarsoni.
User:Blythwood, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Looks solid, but it's a much better plan to link the article to the Wikidata entry on Wikidata, and then you don't need to put anything in the taxobar. This links the article immediately to Wikispecies entries, the commons category, etc, and means if the Wikidata entry needs to be modified the taxobar will change to the right Wikidata entry at the same time rather than being stuck with whatever value it has now. Hope that makes sense!

australian biota items
xxx is a spider in australia is extraordinarily unhelpful - and even more so when only one generic not specific reference is provided -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austrarchaea_platnickorum
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zephyrarchaea_vichickmani - yeah so where?
consider the size of australia, consider the size of the reference lists - please make an effort to do more than what you have done, thanks... JarrahTree 11:37, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- I make all the articles at once out of convenience. I improve them later when I can find the time.
For example: Zephyrarchaea marki Zephyrarchaea marae Also, I am not well versed in spiders, so I don't type the description areas because I do not understand much of it. TheLordOfWikis (talk) 13:06, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
- If you do not understand much of it, I strongly suggest you create articles that are beyond useless - some editors would indeed sanction you for such creations - please get a grip on something you know about or can actually give more than unhelpful one line additions with generic hard to grapple one source generic reference items... thanks JarrahTree 05:29, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
Copying licensed material requires attribution
Hi. I see in a recent addition to Zephyrarchaea marki you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 00:28, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Superb fairywren into Purple-crowned fairywren. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 13:08, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

sfn calls
Hi AryKun: I'm working my way through the WP:BIRD cleanup list and finding a bunch of recently modified fairywren articles with bad {{sfn}} calls. And I tracked them here. ;) Just FYI, when you're using {{sfn}} for a ref with multiple authors, you have to list each author's names separately (i.e. with first/last rather than just author), or it doesn't work. Also, in the call itself, separate the names with a pipe rather than "and". Here's a link to show the fix so you can see what I mean. Thanks for the updates, and happy editing!
