Shammi Rana has been appointed Secretary General of the International Council of Traditional Sports and Games(ICTSG)(Ref) in 4th Collective Consultation of Traditional Sports and Games, UNESCO(Ref)
Shammi Rana was the Rapporteur of Traditional Sports and Games, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (2017~2020). He was born in Amritsar on 24th Nov 1978 and studied and grown in Amritsar, Punjab India. (Ref)(Ref)(Ref) and Secretary-General of Asian Belt Wrestling Federation (Ref)]Shammi Rana, has been honored with the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame award(Ref).
Sport and public career
Shammi Rana held several positions as a member at sports organizations worldwide, was awarded a presidential award(2020) in the USA[1]. Shammi Rana was elected as Secretary-General of Asian Jujitsu and Belt Wrestling Federation(2009) and attended the 1st Indoor Asian Martial Arts Games as Technical Director(2009)[2]. Shammi Rana attended World Martial Arts Masterships(2016)[3] as Technical Director for Belt Wrestling[4]
