Draft: Impaakt Submission declined on 17 August 2021 by HitroMilanese (talk). Hi, Thank you very much for reviewing my work and for your help. I really appreciate it. I am part of the Impaakt community and I was searching for Impaakt on Wikipedia. Since I could not find an article about the platform I thought that initiating one could be interesting for my personal experience, and because Impaakt and Wikipedia work on the same model. Moreover, I hoped that more experienced Wikipedian would contribute to my article. While searching about Impaakt, I found this page: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impak_Finance about a similar company. However, I struggle to understand how it was possible that this article was published: (https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impak_Finance) and that mine (Draft:Impaakt) was rejected. In fact, both articles look quite similar. Do you know the reason? Would you have any additional advices to help me get my first article published on Wikipedia? Is there a way for me to get contributions from experienced Wikipedians on my Draft:Impaakt ? Once again, thank you very much for your help and your time. French Wikipedia and English Wikipedia have similar notability guidelines to some extent but the bar of inclusion is much higher at English Wikipedia. Please see WP:GNG and WP:NCORP. Unless these notability guidelines are satisfied, the draft will not be accepted. Secondly, you should check WP:OTHERSTUFF. Argument based solely on whether other articles do or do not exist is not considered acceptable at Wikipedia. Please see these guidelines WP:GNG and WP:MUSICBIO. A musician's biography must satisfy either of these two guidelines in order to get accepted at English Wikipedia. I checked the "Presse" section in the artist's official website where I found some coverage in reputable newspapers. You may include those references in the draft and resubmit it. A reviewer will review those references and accept the article if they believe that above-mentioned guidelines are met. Regards. Hitro talk 06:08, 23 August 2021 (UTC) Hello Hitro Milanese, Thank you very much for your comments and advice that I followed, I read the wiki links that you suggested to me and I actually saw the press links 2 Figaro reviews (1 and 19 and concertonet.com on the website of the 'artist) I also found in his page listening to videos that I linked to TV shows from National channels or very young, he is invited to perform his piano music alongside guests like the Bee Gees, Simone Signoret or the Eagles as well as in other programs alongside Dalida star at the time which seems interesting to me, even if her register remains obviously totally classical music; I also found various concerts in Japan Suntory Hall and France Th champs élysées, salle gaveau, or Auditorium du Louvre and also one of his film scores appears at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 (4), it is also mentioned in a nomenclature of works for piano and orchestra by musicology professor in the USA Dr Allan Bo (link 2) so perhaps is it potentially sufficiently notable? should all these links be inserted or is it too much? you told me about a reviewer who would decide whether or not the article was eligible, if I resubmit it, will it be directed to this potential reviewer? and especially before, do you see important modifications to make ... thank you again for your invaluable help. However, there are some presentation issues with the draft too. It is not well formatted and translation does not seem to be perfect. You may want to check WP:MOS and format the draft is accordance with standard Wikipedia formatting. This will help in navigating as well as reviewing and verifying the presented sources. I do believe that you should include as much reliable references as you can. This will help in establishing notability. I do believe the subject is potentially notable as there are some coverage in standard newspapers like Le Figaro. However, I do think that changes in formatting should be made before re-submission. However, there are lot of work to do. Currently, the draft appears more like a catalogue than an encyclopedic article. There should be more prose than the listing of the artist's work. Please try to expand early life and career segment of the artist. Make sure to divide these info in proper section. References to reliable sources for verification is most important. The info from the artist's website is not considered a reliable source. Secondly, a lot of cleaning is required in other sections of the draft. It is better to list only his important and notable works than listing his entire work. Let me know if you need more info. Regards. In two words, how do I do it and if I want to add titles or sections? If not, you tell me that I need more development in the text, I will try to follow your precious advice by expanding some paragraphs; for example by creating a paragraph "about his music" for example, you will give me your opinion. You tell me that it is better to talk about the important works than to quote everything because there are many; I agree but the only problem is how to define, in relation to the artist, those which are the most notable; for the piano where there are more than 60 pieces, I don't know which ones to choose? but for example, instead of quoting in detail each piece for piano those which form a group, I summarised them by 4 studies, 3 poetic visions, 2 poetic impressions, 4 evocations or 5 fantasies, which will greatly reduce the "catalogue" effect For the sources you told me that the sources coming from the artist's site are not considered valid, I understand this objection perfectly but what poses a problem for me is that for the articles of the Figaro which are important sources you had underlined, I looked at them and they are only found on their site because one finds few on the net, old articles from the Figaro, and finally the videos of TV shows such as the RDV du dimanche by M. Drucker where he interprets his music in a very important program in France at the time and very watched devoted also to the Bee gees, to Simone Signoret, Jane Birkin, the Eagles or Jean Rochefort what proves a certain notoriety, one finds it only on his site except and I am categorical on the site of the INA PRO or one finds them well as well as others, but which requires a subscription to which I have access, but not accessible to the public free thus one cannot establish direct Web links on this Site. Note however that out of 41 sources there are only 7 that link to the artist's site. Of which 2 I am going to delete: n°2 (figaro) n°14(Japanese press ISSN 0911 3347) n°15 and16(concert programmes, maybe not necessary) n°18 (TV) 22 (US press) 31 (Film press) I deleted 15 and 16 which are only concert programmes but for one of them I found a programme archive site; there are only 5 sources left from the artist's site out of 41 for the time being So I am trying to improve little by little, you will give me your opinion and your advice.
