Guns GirlZ or Houkai Gakuen 2 (Chinese: 崩坏学园2; pinyin: Bēng huài xué yuán 2) is a mobile side-scrolling shooter game developed and published by MiHoYo. Guns GirlZ is considered a sequal to MiHoYo's previous game, Zombiegal Kawaii (崩坏学园; Bēng huài xué yuán), and the spiritual predecessor to Honkai Impact 3rd. The game features gacha mechanics.

Gameplay

The game is a side-scoller shooter, with players controlling a playable character to defeat enemies with up to three different equipable weapons. Additional characters and weapons can be acquired by progressing through the game or through the gacha system.

Development

The game was released as Kawaii Hunter Z (Template:Lang-ko) in Korea, published by FingerTips. The Korean server was shut down on September 27, 2016.

The English version was released as Guns GirlZ - Escape Ragnarok in the US, and Guns Girl - School DayZ in SEA. The US and SEA versions were later renamed to Guns GirlZ - Mirage Cabin and Guns Girl - Honkai Gakuen respectively. Shanghai Fangcun published the game in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia;[1] later acquired by miHoYo in 2017.

On August 9, 2021, MiHoYo announced that the US and SEA servers will shut down on October 11, 2021. The game was removed from app store listings the same day.
