Polygon Wave EP (ポリゴンウェイヴ EP) was released on September 22, 2021 by Japanese electropop group Perfume.[1]
Music
Musically, The EP is an electronic "mini-album" with the uses of funk and techno.[2][3] The first track, the original mix of the lead track, "Polygon Wave", includes an additional a minute and a half.[4] Touki stated the track's style is similar like the producer's regular extended and album mixes.[3] "Polygon Wave" has been said to be using elements such as a funky guitar and a synth piano by music critics.[3][4][5] The third track, a remix of the lead track, has been describe as an 80's-like remix.[3][4] Vocals in the fifth track, "Mugen Loop", sounded as "youthful and bouncy". Music critics also noted that the the track sounded similar to "Clockwork", one of the tracks from their Level3 album.[5][4][3] "Android&" expressed by Random JPop "a similar carefree Summer vibe with the funk and the guitars".[5]
