Request reason:
Really. I'm very sorry, but I didn't know that the copyright policy is so harsh and so dis-merciful. Wikipedia is my life. I never wanted to do harm. Space Western, Military science fiction and space opera: yes, I copied several paragraphs from one to the other, because I thought it'd be OK, since the information generally is the same. I also want to mend amends with @NinjaRobotPirate: and be friends with the administrator team. Please don't block me for life. It's like a death sentence. Wikipedia is, was and will be my life. I made a translation for Bulgarian information company also covering Kazach Wikipedia and all Cyrilic languages Wikipedias and really: it's death sentence to me. If I remain blocked as I am suffering from paltry epilepsy, I don't know how I'll cope in this life. I hope that I'd be excused from my violation and I'll try not to repeat the same mistakes again. Administrators could look at the articles and probably see judgment in my work. I hope in the future to continue my work on Wiki, since as I said: Wiki is my life, I'm also on Bulgarian Wikipedia and it's like cutting my brain for Hannibal's dinner. Kidding, but it's unbelievably harsh sentence for me. I hope to mend amends with NinjaRobotPirate. I hope to work with the people here collaboratively and not to make the same mistakes again. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk) 16:24, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Then, yeah: it's a death sentence for me. I tend to clear my talk pages. I'm epileptic, I forgot. I also find the comment by Schazjmd as an absolute dagger in heart, since the context of those warnings is totally out of shape; those respective articles of Geoff Tate, Queensryche and those three epic space genres has totally evolved and reevaluated in the other context that Wikipedia and its articles are always moving. This is like a total sword in my aching heart. I didn't expect it from a non-involved user to do this to me. I am deeply hurt and I can only say that Wikipedia is always evolving and articles are always moving like a true darwikinist can say. Really: it's killing me deeply if the permanent ban from NinjaRobotePirate, with whom I believe I've collaborated somewhere successfully before - remains, because I hope to continue doing this work until cardinally at the end of the year as I've worked for 20 years, with 3 years in computer clubs before getting a favourite Forsaken nickname of my own. I plead the other administrators to review my work, before really blocking me for life - just like that for true offenses, yes, but in the context of the good faith and many years of contributing. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
I forget. I'm epileptic. I forgot I was warned. Truthfully, not to pinpoint to edits, but as far as I can remember, I moved some information from Queensryche to Geoff Tate or/and vice-versa and I was warned. Probably on point, but both articles were a mess back there. I was thanked later by a friendly contributor. As far as I can remember. All the stuff concerning Tate and Queensryche were totally messed up and I really had to move a lot of the stuff concerning him to his own proper article, while working and trying to clean Tate's article. I never delete or "exclusionize" just like that without trying to put the articles on shape as I have done recently on Poison. Administrators can check me out, I was even thanked and braved as contributor by @Binksternet: who said my exclusionist approach trimmed it down and I did a very god job! But yeah: I moved some of the material between Quuensryche and Geoff Tate back then! It was this when I stopped working on it! Close to its current state?! Which is not perfect always! Before that the article was crap like that! But 3 years ago?! I forgot for this tiny argument, but the development of the articles is worthy! I'm epileptic! Really! Sorry! Now's warning? Oh, I love so much "military space opera frontier" and "science fictional space warfare" genre that I wrote most of the material on the articles by myself with trying to find good references, including the examples. Since the 3 sub-genres totally overlap with one another, yeah: I totally wrote and copied here-and-there and probably I'm guilty more of recent, but 2018 and 2019 incidents, it's me: I clean my Talk pages. Or tended to do it even before. But I clean them in the start or end of like 50 messages or somewhere there. I totally forgot I was warned, but I work for the best and in good faith. Sorry. I didn't know it's so strict, after 3-warning to get a ban for life. I'm epileptic, as stated on my personal baby page. I plead to other administrators: I've been working for 20 years and met and talked even with Jimbo Wales; please don't block me! I'm sure I can amend myself and continue to work for the future. It'll be a dagger in my soul to cut me from this wonderful resource! Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
I have to cite the resource like (copied from [[<page name>]]), I believe, even if it's forms entire another article or was from that article, but it belongs in its place. I believe so. I have to cite the resources in the edit summary, I think. I admit I haven't paid attention. But: please don't block me for life. It's deep wound in my everyday life. Since losing my job in 2018, I concentrated on this, but my health in 2020, while suffering two or three prolonged illnesses from COVID-19 and coupled with an epileptic seizure after my birthday. I totally agree to the instructions of Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I should've put a (Copied content from [[<page name>]]; see that page's history for attribution)? Yes? That's all I can say. Block me for life you want, but that's written in the rules. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
Decline reason:
I'm really sorry to say this, but based on your statements, it sounds like we can't be sure you'd comply with WP:COPYRIGHT if we unblocked you. That places the entire project in jeopardy, so I can't risk lifting the block. I want to be clear, this is nothing personal. If you can more strongly convince us that you can reliably comply with WP:COPYRIGHT, you are welcome to make a new unblock request. For example, if your health improves. Alternatively, if you agree to refrain from any copy-and-paste, even when doing so would be okay by copyright. There may be other alternatives that would lead to us confidently unblocking you, too. I want to be clear, my decline isn't meant to be the end of the line for you here. I'd love to see you back and editing, I just can't currently see how we can do that. I hope what you take from this is either "Hey, I think Yamla is wrong and here's why" or alternatively, "Hey, I think Yamla may be right, but here's how we can work around their concerns". Request reason:
Please, don't block me for life. I'll comply fully with the WP:COPYRIGHT. Please don't hurt me like that. I agree wholeheartedly to refrain from cut-and-paste moves. Please, don't shatter my hopes. I hope to be able to contribute further. I've been blocked for already 2 weeks. Isn't it enough sentence? Please don't turn it for permanent. I'll never jeopardize the editing and I'll never make vandalism on pages. I think you're right, but such a verdict is incredibly hard and dark on me. I agree to follow the copyright and to refrain from cut-and-paste moves. Please, don't block me for life. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
Decline reason:
I would stress that you are not "blocked for life"; the block will be removed when the concerns that led to it have been adequately addressed. I greatly regret to say I don't think this request does that. Like Yamla I think it is very possible for the block to be lifted, but not right now. I think that your health which should be your first priority may need to improve some or you will otherwise need to show us how you will not let your health concerns interfere with your participation here. 331dot (talk) 09:45, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Well, if I continue to be blocked, I don't know how these concerns that led to it will be addressed. Really. I don't know how else I can contribute. I'm blocked indefinitely, which is incredibly hurtful. My health truly is my priority. I have addressed it in my profile page, that I'm epileptic since childhood and I have episodic seizures, but I've been able to contribute for years and I've been doing it since 2001, when I was unsigned User in computer club culture till 2004, when I signed back there in September 2004, I think when I was 18. I have been doing it successfully I believe in some ways, and in others I've made mistakes and I admit them if someone backfires because all edits stand and the evolution of the articles is there; Wikipedia has grown with me as a User and I was part of it. I am honored to be part of it. I've made mistakes. I admit it. But with a permanent ban I don't know how I can redeem myself. That's it. It's last request and I'll probably remain blocked, because I'm getting disheartened and greatly disappointed with each request denied, nearly a month being blocked each and every way. How I am supposed to redeem myself in editing Wikipedia, when I'm blocked for life? Oh, it's not for life, but not "right now"? Then when? Such a protracting and disappointing way to end to my editing and even to belittle my contributions through pointing out only my mistakes. Even probably take it on personal? I don't know. @Rwood128:? @Sadads:? I hope these guys and Users will come to the talk page? We worked on Historical fiction back in 2015? Alex Stinson? They're blocking me for life for COPYRIGHT issues on which I admit my guilt, but it's a harsh verdict to end my participation. You can see my contributions. Alex, can you say some good words for me? If you manage to see the ping? I'm librarian and I have myriad of degrees even in historical fiction and space opera. I've been contributing here since its beginning as an international source. I am honored to be part of the project. It's incredibly hurtful of the heart and soul to be blocked for life. I hope to redeem myself and the block to be lifted eventually. Whenever it is. "Not right now". Then when? Oh, it's minor edit. I know I'm hypocritical and disregarding, but this standing ban is really hurtful; it's still my talk page and my space and it's the only space I can edit; but how I can redeem myself, when I'm blocked majorly from Wikipedia for life only editing my talk page? Sorry to be rebellious, but I hope the ban will be lifted. I'll not make new requests. After this request probably gets denied, I won't make new requests and it's even hurtful since I cannot edit and blank-out my User Page. I want to. But I'cant. I'm banned for life only editing my talk page making heartfelt requests and getting denied "for the moment". I'll delete the contents here, after I'm denied request and I'll ask one of these guys to blank my User Page. It's hypocrisy. I broke in tears! I'm banned for life, Alex, Woody! Jesus! I can't believe it! Regards:Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 12:24, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
Ok. I understand why I have been blocked for copyright violation for which I'm sorry and I believe I've learnt from my past mistakes. It's been almost 2 months and I sincerely wholeheartedly hope that it's enough. I've learnt my lesson. I sincerely appeal to the reviewing administrator to unblock me, because I hope that my "punishment" is enough. As an established editor and pending changes reviewer, I'll never cause damage or disruption and I always try to make the best contributions accordingly with an edit summary, because I admit that I've never taken it seriously thus far, but will try to implement it in my future edits. Please! Don't block me for life! Wikipedia and Fandom Wikia were and still are part of my life! I hope to continue do it in the upcoming years for sure!
Accept reason:
I'm assuming good faith and unblocking. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 19:09, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) You were warned three times previously about how to properly copy within Wikipedia (3 Jun 201826 Feb 2019, 17 Jun 2021). It's unlikely that you'll be unblocked unless you can show that you have read and understand the relevant policies by explaining what you should have done to properly copy from one Wikipedia article to another, and how you plan to change your behavior in the future. Schazjmd (talk) 16:34, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) C'mon, it's not that hard: how do you properly copy content from one article to another on Wikipedia? Do you agree to follow those instructions in the future? Schazjmd (talk) 17:37, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Why do you rarely use edit summaries? I understand you may be struggling but it is also very concerning that you were given a warning on June 17 and then you did the exact thing you were warned not to do 10 days later. I guess I am looking for some insight into why this happened and how we can trust you to change your behavior going forward. Please respond to these points under this post and not in the unblock request as that is getting hard to follow. Sasquatch t|c 22:13, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
I forget it's that important. Listen, I stated it on my User Page: since the seizure I hold scattering in my brain. My vocabulary is damaged and I forget such simple things on Wikipedia and never really while making my contributions paid that much attention to it. I admit I've made mistake this way, but never really paid much attention and I don't know even when it's proper to say: "75% of edits do have edit summaries! Good job!" I never paid attention these 20 years in working and I hope to continue working, although this time I'll be more proactive in this and will give good citations and will contribute with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia saying it's copied from another article. But, I forget it's that important. Is it really that demanding? I was never aware of this. Really. I'm sorry. Regards: Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
- Elan, you keep focusing on the effect of this block upon you that you are not paying attention to the words of the admins who turned down your block requests. You need to assure them that you understand Wikipedia's copyright guidelines. So, don't just state that you won't do anything wrong, you have to demonstrate, through explanation, that you understand copyright and how it works on Wikipedia. If necessary, explain it in the most simple and direct words. Admins reviewing your block request just want to be able to see that mistakes that have happened in the past won't happen again and that's your responsibility to demonstrate that you actually do understand copyright guidelines, not by stating that you do but by explaining them in your own words. When you can do that, you might have more success getting unblocked. Liz Read! Talk! 02:03, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

- Apologies, I had not noticed that the Fandom page was licensed under CC-BY-SA, but you still must attribute to avoid plagiarism. eviolite (talk) 18:56, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Eviolite: OK, sorry! I'll attribute every time! I thought it was enough in the edit summary! I'll attribute every time! Sorry! Elan Morin Tedronai (talk)
Blocked
As you have continued to violate WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE after being unblocked, I have reluctantly blocked you again indefinitely. For those following along, the two violations I saw were here, copying content without attribution, and here, inappropriately using a copyrighted image without specifying a fair-use exemption (indeed, no fair-use exemption would likely be acceptable there). --Yamla (talk) 20:35, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
@Yamla:: Oh, please, Yamla! I didn't know it was so serious! I didn't know the policy fully about the pictures. I think a contributor put an attribution on The Wheel of Time. I put on the summary. I thought it was enough. I didn't know that on I couldn't put images or multiply them on other articles. Really. Please don't block me for life. I am all doing in good faith.
