WBNW-FM branded as "Now 105-7", is a class B Top 40 radio station in Binghamton, New York located on the dial at 105.7 FM. The station is owned by iHeartMedia. It is the primary entry point of the Emergency Alert System in central New York state.
History
The station, under the WMRV call sign, was named for the late entertainer and game show creator Merv Griffin, who owned the FM station, as well as its sister station, WENE. When Griffin and his wife, Julann, divorced in 1973, she retained ownership of the stations as part of the settlement.
105.7 (WMRV-FM) was rated #1 several times during the late 1990s as the highest-rated ratings to date. The station was a Top 40 station from its beginning in 1991 until 2004.
105.7 (WMRV-FM) flipped to a Hot AC Station from 2004 to April 2012.
105.7 (WMRV-FM) flipped back to Top 40/CHR and ran from April 2012 to March 10, 2013.
On March 11, 2013, 105.7 FM rebranded as Now 105.7(WBNW-FM) as a Top 40/CHR. Now 105.7 FM is The #1 Hit Music Station as of 2019.
