Merge with Hellenic Arc

Does this need to be separate to Hellenic Arc? Should they be merged? Fitzgabbro (talk) 00:03, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hellenic orogeny

The section on the Hellenic orogeny is almost entirely unrelated to the volcanic arc. It could provide the starting point of an article dedicated to that topic, but here it is out of place. Mikenorton (talk) 17:32, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sections are very hard to comprehend

Some portions of this article are very hard to understand. For instance, from the first paragraph:

"The prior cause was the subduction of the African plate beneath the Eurasian plate, raising the Aegean arc across what is now the north Aegean Sea. It was not yet the sea, nor an arc, or at least not the one it is today, nor was there a chain of volcanoes."

I'm not really sure what this is supposed to mean, or else I would clean it up. This is not the only example of such convoluted language in this article. Angiest (talk) 01:42, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
