Nicholas Hoult (born 7 December 1989) is an English actor. He is known for playing Marcus in the hit British film About a Boy.
Hoult was born in Wokingham, Berkshire, but trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. He made his film debut as Bobby in the Boxer Films/Fox Searchlight picture Intimate Relations. Although About A Boy marked his first leading role in a feature film, he had worked since the age of eight in film, television and theatre.
Hoult has also appeared with the English National Opera at the London Coliseum, first in their production of The Nutcracker and more recently in Swan Lake. Hoult currently stars in the new comedy drama series, aimed at the teenage market, Skins.[1]
He goes to Ranelagh sixth form in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Private Life
After much specualtion about his sexuality, Nicholas recently came out as being gay [citation needed] to the tabloid newspapers. This was after many reports on his sexual preferences and after one particular interviewer said to him, "C'mon Nick, we know you're gay. You might as well admit it".
