Merger proposal
In response to this edit by an IP, I would refer them to WP:BANDMEMBER, which states, "Members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability."
Limp Bizkit are notable, but Mr. Rivers is not notable outside the band. The IP removed the notability tag, but made no effort to improve the article, add any sources, or explain what the supposed "shameless lie" was. The article is almost entirely composed of unverified original research, and of the four sources in the article, one is a interview with Rivers himself, one is a press release of Rivers producing a band of equally-dubious notability, and one is a picture of him winning a non-notable award, again from a primary source. The one or two lines of verifiable information about him can easily be included in the main Limp Bizkit article. I think John Otto (drummer) should also be merged there too. Agree on merging into Limp Bizkit Status4 (talk) 02:03, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Same here. SomeWhatLife (talk) 01:34, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Weak oppose I would argue WP:BAND #10 qualifies his notability outside the direct context of the band by virtue of his collaboration on at least two tracks from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Paradoxsociety 00:02, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not convinced that working effectively as a session musician on two tracks and with no prose to say anything about his contribution is worthy of a separate article. Richard3120 (talk) 22:16, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- Support per Richard. I also agree that the QOTD songs are not enough to satisfy BAND. Sergecross73 msg me 10:54, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:BAND#10. Subtropical-man (✉ | en-2) 00:14, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
