Andrew Lovgren, also known as Deaton Chris Anthony, is an American singer-songwriter and producer from Olathe, Kansas. He gained fame after independently releasing his album "BO Y" on November, 2019. He has made collaborations with Clairo and Tony Hawk. His style has been described as bedroom pop, R&B, and electronic pop. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

Career

Lovgren started making music in 2015.[1] He released his first album "BB" in 2015, available on a cassette tape. The tape featured 13 songs: 6 A-side, 7 B-side. He released "BO Y" in 2019, collaborating with Clairo and Tony Hawk. The name of Lovgren's album BOOGY WOOGY was inspired from his pet rabbit's name "Boogy".[2] He got the pet during the COVID-19 lockdowns.[3]

During the same time that Lovgren began making music, he also became a fashion designer. He makes clothes by taking pieces from other clothes and sewing them together. Vogue writer Rachel Hahn said that "he'll take one, hand-paint it, cut it up, and make a wonky pattern, creating a completely new design each time".[4] Lovgren sells the designs on his website. He also creates photo-realistic rugs, often of faces.[1]
