Jarod Bridge, (Born 28 July 1999) is a former Boundary Umpire who officiated in the Western Australian Football League known as the (WAFL). He was added onto the WAFL panel and made his WAFL debut Round 1 2018.

Career highlights

On Saturday 12 September 2020, Jarod decided that the last round of the 2020 WAFL Season would be his final WAFL match officiating in, Held at Leederville Oval. And later on confirming his retirement from all formats of the game.

WAFL career

During the 2017 Season the WAFL coaches and selectors were eyeing off to potentially selecting Jarod to come across for the 2018 WAFL Season, And to be part of the squad, Where he would end up to officiating in upto three Seasons, In his first two seasons he held his spot for selection and only appeared briefly in the WAFLW with only 3 league games two of these occasions he wore the number 15, In 2020 of the WAFL seasons COVID 19 effected the competition which resulted to be shortened to only 9 Rounds of that season, While in lockdown Jarod trained hard to the point he lost upto 11kg. A month before the season had got back up and running out of lockdown Jarod had suffered a three month tendon injury he was in rehab and underwent needles to help with the pain for a couple of months which had seemed to have helped but the set back in his left leg and then followed by a Hamstring injury would resulted him being ruled out for upto seven WAFL matches, Before Jarod was able to return to officiate in the final 2 Games of that WAFL season, Jarod ended up officiating in 37 Games before retiring from WAFL and from all formats of the game.

Two months from WAFL retirement Jarod was offered an extra contract for 2021 possibly to rejoin the WAFL Squad by a phone call, In hopes to bring him out of retirement, Jarod had quickly declined the offer and Jarod saying “I’m done with it all! It’s time for me to move on.”

Early life

Jarod born July 1999, started officiating at the age of 13, And joined the PFL as an official in 2013, During his time he was apart of 4 Grand finals from 2014 to 2017, Where he officiate in up to 77 games. And was even talked into joining the Demons Districts in 2017 for only 16 games, During his time at the WAFL level, Jarod then officiated in up to 10 more Games in the PFL from 2018 to 2020 and even a Grand final appearance in 2019.
