Olentangy Hyatts Middle School is a public middle school located in Powell, Ohio. The school was established in 2007 and is one of the five middle schools in the Olentangy Local School District. The school is connected to Olentangy Liberty Tree Elementary School to its north by a connecting hallway.
History
There was originally an Olentangy Hyatts High School around the area where the present-day school is. Operating from around 1933 to the late 1970s.
Olentangy Hyatts Middle school was opened in August 2007, in time for the 2007-2008 school year. It's located about two miles due north of Olentangy Liberty High School, to which it is a feeder school.
On May 19, 2019, seven students were accused of giving a substitute teacher foods that were tainted with bodily fluids in a cooking class. The following month, an eighth student admitted to being apart of the scandal. All eight students served varying times in juvenile detention.
